Re: Mask to use with a sore face?
Thanks I am going to order it now. My skin treatment is Monday and I managed to procrastinate long enough to make it an emergency. Ha. Happily, CPAP.com has a quick to ship option so it can be here by bedtime that day. I've come a long way from not being able to tolerate my mask to not being able to...

Re: Mask to use with a sore face?
Pugsy, That mask looks like it might work. Are the adhesive strips hard to remove?

Mask to use with a sore face?
Hi, I have searched but haven't found any post with a similar question. I am having a treatment for facial skin cancers that will include my upper lip area. My current mask is a Dreamwear Full, face and it has a strip right across the area I expect to be very sore. I also have a Mirage Quattro but i...

Re: No Battery for Resmed S9 VPAP Auto??
Yes, that is why I called customer service. The person told me there wasn't a long enough lasting battery for my unit. After a lot of hand wringing, I ordered a battery with the appropriate cables and bits. I understand that the humidifier will use power rapidly but figure I can go without it better...

No Battery for Resmed S9 VPAP Auto??
Ive been using Resmed S9 VPAP auto for 6 years now. 100% compliance. It seems to be running just fine. The only problem I have is that during power outages I am totally miserable. This has happened twice in the last couple months. It takes me 2 days to get rested and sane again even with only a part...

Re: ResMed S9 VPAP Auto - unexpected shutoff while sleeping
I had a similar experience- twice -and for me it was high leak rate that shut off the unit. I verified it on Sleepyhead. I changed masks and haven't had any further problems. If your mask seems pretty good, be sure the hose isn't leaking from a tear or at the connections. Good luck.

Re: Dreamwear FFM Help! My nose is inflating!
Follow-up: Pugsy, I think it is auto adjust but not sure how to tell. I added a 20 minute ramp and lowered the Inhale pressure to 12. OA were .75 for the night but I did have leaks . Sleeyhead: Leak Rate, Rate of detected mask leakage (L/min) min.0.00, med 1.20, 95% 40.80, MAX 84.00. Sleepyhead also...

Re: Dreamwear FFM Help! My nose is inflating!
Thanks for the suggestions. I have reduced the humidity since we've had wet weather for a few days.. I have had lots of dry mouth issues through the years Our humidity isn't very high in this area (n. central Texas) I'll reduce the PS & see how it does. I have never changed that setting before so I ...

Dreamwear FFM Help! My nose is inflating!
Hi CPAP users. Last week I got a new Dreamwear FFM at my medical supply company. I have used the Mirage Quattro for years & was having increasing leaks with them. Sometimes the leaks would shut down the machine in the night so I took the S9 with me to get it checked out too. The supplier informed me...

I use a hose holder. This one-

It holds it out of the way and I really like it.

Re: SD card replacement
Ok. Thanks. I will power down. I have powered down to travel several times in this time period but will be more diligent in doing so each month. I am also going to replace the card.
BTW Thanks for being here. I don't post often but can almost always find the answer to my ? by reading others.

SD card replacement
I have used the same card for over a year. Can this be replaced by a SD card of another brand or does it have to be from Resmed?
I noted on my SH that some periods of data are missing so I thought maybe I should replace the card.

Re: AHI & Pressure Settings
Hi to everyone. I just logged on to see what I could find on this very topic. SInce it is similar to my situation I'd like to add to it. Is that a faux pas? Over the last year my AHI (using BiPAP) has steadily increased from <2 to over 6. My leaks are way up and even though I seem to be asleep all n...

Re: Dry mouth in a.m. with FFM
Follow up: I started using a room humidifier and it runs almost constantly to get to 40%. However, it helps. I have not had the tank run dry since. Funny: on Monday I had an appt at the sleep center for a check up. The little nursy perosn suggested for dry mouth to try Biotene, increasing humidity, ...

Apnea said not to increase risk of death??
If this was already hashed over then ignore but my daughter sent it to me along with the suggestion to "just lose weight'. http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2013/09/23/225429783/lose-weight-before-trying-cpap-sleep-apnea-treatments?utm_content=socialflow&utm_campaign=nprfacebook&utm_source=npr&utm_med...
