Re: Must Choose Between CPAP & Sore Face
Ditto on checking the mask seals for allergens, try a supercleaning in a dishwasher alone (if you have one) there may be "manufacturing" residue on the mask/seals that are irritating you. Too tight of straps will cause leaks too. Start loose, laying down, and slowly tighten straps,or lightly press o...

Re: Allergic reaction to mask + SOLUTION
Both the Milk of Magnesia and dishwashing soap are strong chemical bases which react to acids. I wonder if that isn't breaking down something. The skin oils and acids, I hope. My skin is so acidic, I destroy watch backs and bands in less than a year (yes, I shower daily). Latest watch is 4 years ol...

Unread posts are flagged with a little red table next to avatar. Once read there is no little red tablet thing. http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j347/Oneshot1949/unread.jpg There are no sub forums. One giant forum with the most recent post going to the top of the page. Thanks, knowing the unread...

Re: Allergic reaction to mask + SOLUTION
About once a month, I run my headgear (silicone) and nasal pillows through the dishwasher with a load of dishes. Then I rinse the nasal pillows out a couple times, till they don't smell like soap or bleach, and store them as spares for "The Time you Cannot Get Gear". Looking at them later, and using...

Re: Do you use your humidifier all year?
I often just fill the tank, and let the air blow over the unheated water. When the humidity gets low, I'll crank up the heater, but hey, if my nose humidifies OK for 18 hours a day, and I have no issues, a few more hours don't hurt. I use nasal pillow system and my mouth stays closed, so I don't see...

Re: Another Battery Option
Mike here. New member, also member @ windsun solar forums. I'll repost a posting I made there about my experience with a portable power jump start pack (so good, I bought a 2nd one for use in LA for power outages when I'm not camping). The one I use off grid at night, is recharged after each use wit...
