Re: Secondwindcpap.com Review

Well, since this thread is titled "review" I'll restate my high opinion of Mark and his staff at SecondWind.. Very friendly, prompt and honest folks. I had lots of questions and not one went unanswered. My "gently used" S9 had 139 run hrs. on it and it looked brand new. (no scratches, dust, nothing)...

Re: Nasal pillow mask and pressure?

I also use the nasal pillows and they do well with my own pressure of 14. I clean mine often but not as often as I should, I'm sure. I still get around 8 weeks or so out of each. NationWide Medical is another company that takes care of filing/claiming with your insurance, too. I use them for supplie...

Re: Getting ready to sell my S9 Autoset

bump... I have to give credit to my husband for thinking of the "skin" cover. When I told him I wanted to buy your "for her" machine, he simply stated: "you just want it because it's pink, why don't you just order yourself one of those skin thingies for the machine you've got". I couldn't really arg...

Re: Still trying to get used to this, need some thoughts

What worked for me was turning the ramp off. I have a pressure setting of 14.4 and the original ramp setting was 20 mins. with a starting pressure of 8. I, too, felt a bit smothered. I adjusted it a bit the second night then turned ramp off completely on the third night. Haven't given much thought t...

Re: buying secondwind products to canada

Hey photodork,,, I just want to share my opinion of secondwind service and products. Mark is extremely helpful and honest. I had questions that I emailed him with and he was very quick to reply. He was also very helpful and pleasant on the phone. I purchased a Resmed S9 that was advertised on his si...

Re: Anyone selling or loaning FFMs?

Sweetie, I have a Quattro FX you can have if you want it. I used it for just a few hours, so it's not "new". It's clean and you are welcome to it if you want.

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time.
Just let me know.

Re: insurance won't pay for the sleep test

Wow !! $6000?? And I thought my two overnighters were expensive. My BCBS gave the 'go-ahead' for the studies, however, my deductible hadn't been met. Imagine my surprise when I pulled the EOB out of the mail box. I'm now feeling pretty fortunate though. My total was $2300 and I'll never complain abo...

Re: What's the current status on supplies and FSA?

I know the rules changed on FSA's but.... 1) our host, cpap dot com accepts FSA for payment. Although they need a RX for most things. 2) secondwind also accepts FSA for payment. They, too, need a RX. (at least I assumed they did so I emailed them a copy of mine). The year is quickly coming to an end...

Re: ..instead of 1-year celebration (a bit long)

Hope you get your therapy working to your advantage soon. Others will chime in about that, I'm sure. I just wanted to tell you that you will not regret doing business with Mark and crew @ secondwind. When they say "gently used" it's exactly that. I bought a back-up S9 for a fraction of "new" price. ...

Re: Beware of people in the "THE GREAT PILLOW EXCHANGE" thread

That's not to say that something similar hasn't occurred in this situation but if people are thinking of Justpam...it isn't her.
No, not me. I only replied to this because it was back on the top anyway..

Thanks, Pugsy.

Re: Cpap dot com problems

I sure hope I don't get your returns!!!!
Trust me, there wasn't enough of anything left to make a guess of what it used to be.
I would have never asked, or even suggested, they replace anything. They are A+++ in my book.
I just wanted to scream at the delivery guy and ask "what were you thinking?".
