Re: Stats, Bathroom (or dog) breaks, and CPAP

Like everyone else, I also turn off my S9 AutoSet and remove my Nasal mask if I ever have to get up during the night - which is almost never. I let the S9 AutoSet automatically come on, but always turn it off manually. If I let it also turn itself off automatically, it records a large leak for a ver...

Re: How do you know when to replace mask parts?

I had 9% high leaks last night after having a steady average of 2% since I started using my machine. Last night was night 15. My DME said that my insurance will pay for 2 cushions a month but no one she delivers to ever uses more than one. I also have a really sore spot on the bridge of my nose fro...

britinjapan wrote:Many thanks. How does one format a card?

I took a second card this morning from my APAP to my Mac, but forget to switch it to read only, so would like to swipe it clean as well.
I use SD Formatter - designed to format SD Cards
Plus, it is free!

Re: Do I need to eject my SD card when accessing provider menu?

The doctor or DME can put your prescribed settings on the SD card. These settings will reset any settings changes you have made. What happens after that seems to vary from machine to machine. Sometimes, it only happens once. Sometimes, it seems that the settings on the card keep overriding the sett...

Re: DME kept my prescription??

Is it normal for the DME to keep your prescription in their files? The original prescript, I mean. I got a copy of it to send in to my insurance, but not the original. The DME said they need to keep it. "I" made a "copy" for the DME before going to them. They got that "copy" & NOT the original. "I"...

Re: Utility discounts

A couple months ago I heard over the radio something about C-PAP users who register their equipment can receive a gas discount. I did not respond at that time and it sounded like a "discount on gasoline" which, of course, would not make any sense. But, a utility discount would make sense, especiall...

Re: S9 autoset users do you notice this with your h5i?

It seems the water for mine is completely gone within 2 days.. even after i fill to max line. Is this normal? Also i get fog on that part of the machine a lot in the window. Sometimes i will go to sleep and my water is at least on the min line but when i wake up the thing is completely empty.. so s...

Re: Temperature Setting on the ResMed H5i Heated Humidifier

In the spring & early summer, I left the H5i in Auto Mode with the default 80 degrees F but lowered my bedroom temperature by 2 degrees to offset some of the heat I was feeling. That actually worked perfectly - but I hate to have the A/C running more for 7 hours or so just to compensate for the extr...

Temperature Setting on the ResMed H5i Heated Humidifier

I used my new ResMed H5i Heated Humidifier in Auto Mode during the winter months with the default Temperature setting of 80 degrees F Now that summer is here & I live in a very humid region, I left it in Auto mode but turned the temperature down gradually until I got all the way down to 62 degrees F...

Re: S9 AutoSet leak numbers

Is there a way to make an S9 record total leak rate on the data card? I'm skeptical about the way it estimates the mask leak rate and throws away the raw data if it's less than the estimated intentional leak rate. I personally would rather the way that ResMed currently does it. If my leak rate is n...
