Re: DME nightmare(S)
Wow I'm really glad my DME set me up with a good machine. I didn't find this forum until after I had received my machine. I've also got BCBS and they are pretty particular on stuff. I hope you get everything straightened out. My DME said she provides the cord for truckers all the time. I bet you can...

Headgear sizes
Is there a measurement guide somewhere for the headgear for the different masks? My Quattro FX is a small with medium headgear and I'm wondering if the small headgear might work better for me. Before I order it though I'd like to know if there's like a measuring guide somewhere? I'd be willing to me...

wearyone,
May I ask what kind of sleeping mask you used for dry eyes? My mother has severe dry eyes and I'm curious.

Re: Mask Liners
Do you make your own mask lines? Out of what? Mine make my mask leak. I make them out of shop rags that I had extra that I had baught from Autozone. (New ones of course) -Jonathan Mine is made out of an old t-shirt. Shop rags seem like they would be too rough against the skin. I'm thinking about or...

Re: mouth breathers with nasal masks
I'm having the same problem with the same mask lol. To keep the air from blowing in my eyes I have to sit the mask down lower on my face. I tried the mask liners but I don't like the feel of the fabric on my face. I wanted to try the Liberty but I'm not sure I'd like the nasal pillows. I'm also a mo...

Re: Hans-Rudplph V2 mask
The heavy feeling is something that I think I would have the most trouble with. I like the light feeling of my Quattro FX and didn't like the heavy feeling of the Mirage Quattro. I was hoping to find another FF mask that is lightweight. But it appears this is not the one for me.

Hans-Rudplph V2 mask
Has anyone tried this mask yet? https://www.cpap.com/productpage/hans-rudolph-7600-series-v2-full-face-cpap-mask.html . Right now I have a stuffy nose and it stays that way pretty much the year around. Stupid allergies. I am sleeping with my mouth more open because of it. I was wondering if the v2 m...

Re: Quattro Poll (Which is Best)
My first mask was the Quattro FX and I liked it but had trouble with the leaks waking me up at night. Then I tried the Mirage Quattro. I liked it a lot; less noise but it made my nose raw, red, and it just hurt. So I turned that mask back in. I guess I'm sticking with the FX for now. I'm a mouth bre...

Re: Quatrro FX mask noise
I've already made a mask liner and that's what I'm using. I'll just try tightening the straps.

Re: Leaks question
You're having almost the same problem I'm having. What wakes me up is the noise.

Quatrro FX mask noise
Alright I've been trying to monitor my stats everyday. I'm sleeping better and its seems I'm finally sleeping longer before waking up. I'm still waking up 2 or 3 times a night. But I think I've noticed a pattern. I always look at my watch when I wake btw. The times I wake up are almost the time my p...

Re: Orange Specks in H5i Tank?
Some people on here use tap water. But my DME advised using Distilled water. Tap water can leave behind things in your tank; like the orange specks. You probably should wash the tank in distilled water and vinegar.

Re: Getting used to it
I started feeling better pretty quick. It took me about a week. I'm still struggling sometimes. I don't get a good seal and end up a little more tired during the day but nothing compared to how I was feeling in May before CPAP. Just hang in there.

Re: Problems getting supplies when needed
I've not been on CPAP long but my RT has told me that she will come to my work if I need anything. I have her cell phone number as well. She even gave me a mask cushion today because I hadn't received one from the supply company yet.

Follow up visit to doctor & DME
Evening everyone and happy 4th of July to those of us in the USA. Alright so today was a CPAP clinic at my DME and my follow up with my primary doctor. Before I left I printed off pages from Sleepyhead for the past month. Visit with the DME went great I only had 1 night that might not be complaint a...
