Re: BEWARE from BUYING at CPAP.COM

I have never had a problem buying stuff from cpap.com and prefer cpap.com to my brick and mortar DME, if I have a choice.

Tonsillectomy reduced my pressures some

I can check in now and conclusively say this: the tonsillectomy I had this past April did reduce my pressures. My 95th percentile for the thirty day period before the tonsillectomy was 14.6. About a week after my tonsillectomy recovery and I was off all prescription narcotic painkiller meds, I switc...

Re: OT: Addressing the Wicked Problem of Obesity

I dont know what the answer to Western obesity is. I do know for a fact that I feel much better when I just get down to around 200 lbs. Just a 25 to 30 lb drop makes a huge difference in how I feel, look and interact with people offline. I have not been below 200 lbs on CPAP yet, but I very strongly...

Re: What are the bigtime sleep medicine accreditations for MDs?

Any MD is legally allowed to do anything - board certification is NOT required. In theory, a GP can do brain surgery. In reality getting board certified involves doing a residency ( several years depending on the speciality) and then passing a certification exam. LOL Yeah I am aware doctors have a ...

Re: Boston Marathon Suspects

Such very heinous crimes these two individuals committed. Yet at the same time, so sad to see such young men waste their lives in such nonsense. Very very sad. Both for their victims AND for these two terrorists.

What are the bigtime sleep medicine accreditations for MDs?

What are the "bigtime" sleep medicine accreditations for Medical Doctors? In the USA? I used to know them but cant remember. I am reviewing my sleep medicine specialists credentials and want to be sure they are properly credentialed, meaning, really well trained in SLEEP APNEA and SLEEP MEDICINE. An...

Re: OT: Taking an evening off from watching nightly news.

There is no such thing as "news" anymore. Nowadays, all the news programs are heavily propagandized from either the leftist or the right wing perspective. MSNBC, CNN and the Bloomberg channel stuff is from the leftist slant. Fox News its from the right wing slant, although after the stupid soros law...

Re: Preparing for your own death

Ensure is a pretty good way to get nutrition at this time and they also make a high protein version that would support tissue healing. Hope you feel better really soon. Yeah, Ive been drinking like, 2000 calories a day of Ensure, alternating that with going out to eat about every other day to eat s...

Re: Preparing for your own death

Hi Quiet, Thank you for your prayers for me. I normally dont say things like this, but I feel as if I could use all the prayers right now that I could get. Again, thank you. Yes, I hope the AHI, the elevated central apnea index and the elevated 95th percentile all return to pre-surgery levels after ...

Re: Preparing for your own death

Hi Quiet, I posted that first post a week ago. I am not currently having the death premonitions. I was quite drugged up that night...still drugged up actually. And was rather delirious that night from post surgery stuff. I have followups with two different doctors this coming week, one the ENT who d...

Re: Preparing for your own death

Well, I was not doing that bad until very recently. I was actually doing pretty good overall. It was after this surgery that I was caught by surprise, things have been rough since immediately after the surgery. I was expecting things to be rough and expecting to be drugged up for a few weeks and not...

Re: Finding a good DME?

Ive heard a ton of bad stuff about Apria, but my local Apria is not bad actually. They are nothing great but they are not bad either. If you are in Charlotte, NC area, a really good DME is called Hometown Oxygen. At least they USED to be good. I have not used them since 2008. They were the ones who ...

Where do you get them at on the Internet?

The units that plug into the machine run at around $1500 or so.

Re: Preparing for your own death

The algorithm is set up for a somewhat "normal" person having a somewhat "normal" sleep. Yeah I know. I just freaked out. I dont like having the elevated central apnea index (1.4 last night). Or the mega high 95th percentile pressures. Hopefully its all painkiller and knifed up airway causes. It al...

Re: Preparing for your own death

Hi Dreaming, Thank you for praying for me, I dare say I need it right now. There is indeed a lot of inflammation in my airway right now still. I just ate some mashed potatos and believe it or not it hurt like hell to eat friggin mashed potatos!!!!! The best analogy I can come up with it very simple,...
