I believe a part of my problem with APAP was pressure changes. I'm lucky to have a BiPap but when I switched back to straight bipap settings I slept much better.

The last week has been pretty terrible. I've been suffering from aerophagia and didn't even realize it until today. I started xpap therapy in April 2012. I've been on a bipap the whole time. I was prescribed a bipap and I'm so glad! If the choice is between CPAP and APAP I'd definitely try to get the APAP. The APAP can always be run in CPAP mode, but not the other way around.

My sister is using a Zest Nasal mask and from the beginning has had rainout problems. But we've tracked it down to condensation building up in her mask between the cushion and the silicone. When she rolls on her side the water goes on her face. So I don't think it actually qualifies as rainout.. IDK...

It's funny how easily you forget how bad it was. (Does that make sense?)

I totally forgot about the night sweats! I definitely don't miss that!! And I don't miss the morning headaches.
