Re: Any recent Colonoscopy participants here?
Thanks everyone! I was thinking it wasn't a life or death issue but I will definitely call the Gastro Department today and let them know what's up. BDG I sure hope they don't find Lemmiwinks, because *I* did not put him there!

Any recent Colonoscopy participants here?
I am going to have my first colonoscopy on Friday, the day before I start treating my Apnea with a CPAP machine. I was wondering if anyone here has recently (fairly recently?) had a colonoscopy (and specifically a colonoscopy) and how they handled your Obstructive Sleep Apnea issue. Whilst I was wal...

CPAP.com accepts Flex Spending VISA?
I suppose I could ask them directly, but that would involve a phone call from work. Does anyone know if CPAP.com is set up (with the IRS, I think) to accept the (sometimes useless) VISA card I was issued by my employer to help pay for medical expenses? That would be much more convenient than applyin...

One more PR Remstar Pro question re: tubing
Does anyone happen to know if the (new?) Heated Tube that comes with the PR Remstar 60 series is compatible with the PR System One Remstar Pro CPAP machine? (Sheesh, what a long product name!) I noticed on the Philips web site that the Tube itself has an accessory part number, so that started me thi...

Getting a PR System One, software question
It looks like this coming Thursday I am going to be supplied with a Phillips Respironics PR System One Remstar, etc. etc. CPAP machine. I have a couple of questions for all you nice folks: 1) am I correct in my assumption that this particular machine does not display any data, unlike the Resmed? In ...

Prescribed CPAP, ask for APAP?
Hi everyone! I'm still trying to figure this out: is an APAP machine a) considered "necessary" in certain cases, e.g., people who have trouble tolerating CPAP machines, or b) is the APAP instead what you might call a new generation of machine which will eventually render CPAPs obsolete? In other wor...

Made in the USA?
I was just wondering if anyone knows if any of the CPAP/APAP machines out there and on cpap.com are made in the USA. I noticed a "Made in USA" sticker on a photo of the Phillips Remstar Pro, but not sure if that is still valid. I do try to allocate some of my tiny purchasing power to goods still mad...

Re: Sleep Apnea? You make the call!
Just wanted to mention that I had my sleep study last night. Although the Sleep Technician is (of course) not allowed to provide a diagnosis, he said that the fact that he put a CPAP mask and machine on me at 1:30 a.m. indicates there is a Sleep Apnea issue. Apparently my night twitching is to wake ...

Re: Sleep Apnea? You make the call!
Yes, it would be nice to "cure" it as it's a PITA especially to my wife, but at the least I'd like it diagnosed. Like Schwarzenegger, I want to be able to say that it's not a Too-Mah. And I don't know about going to bed fatigued, but I certainly wake up that way. As for breathing, my wife has not se...

Re: Sleep Apnea? You make the call!
Thanks LSAT and Gaga. I will let you folks know once I know something. Something is going on, just not quite sure what. I keep telling my wife we just need a bigger and better mattress so I don't transmit my crazy vibes over to her side of the bed, but for some obscure reason she loves me and wants ...

Sleep Apnea? You make the call!
Hi everyone, newbie alert!! I am going to have a sleep study done next week, and of course all my questions may be answered after that. But being the impatient sort, I wanted to describe my sleep problem/symptoms and see if it sounds familiar to any of you. Simply put, I jerk a lot in my sleep. The ...
