Resmed Air Mini Clinical menu

Does anyone know how to access the "clinical" menu for the Resmed Air Mini? I want to see what minimum and maximum pressure settings the company has set for the machine before using it. Thanks. (For what it's worth, I am using mine with the P10 type nasal pillow mask, and it's no louder than using t...

Good experience with Aeroflow

Just wanted to share a good experience I had with using Aeroflow as my DME. We recently switched health insurance providers, and so I wanted to try a new DME. The insurance company has an approved relationship with Aeroflow, so I called them up, gave them my information, and like 5 days later, a who...

Re: A quick newbie question...

And as long as you're using distilled water, you really only have to clean it once a week or so.

Re: Hypopnea and Oral Appliances

Like others offering advice here, I'm no doctor, but I was diagnosed, like you, with mild to moderate apnea and then given a CPAP machine by my doctor. And let me say, HOLY COW, if you've gone 10 or more years without a decent night's sleep and then get a chance to really, decently, deeply sleep for...

Re: Which Machine?

I have the PR system One Remstar Auto with A-flex and the Devilbiss Intellipap Auto. Both are really great machines, and even though they use different algorithms, I don't notice the difference at all. The Devilbiss seems to have a slightly quieter airflow, but it also seems to have a slightly highe...

Re: Finally got my titration sleep study. I have questions.

It is late so I will reply more in the morning. I am getting an auto machine...with data. My doctor told me auto machines were old school. He said it was better to use the titration level they figured out. I said, humor me...we can turn off the auto for now. Seriously, is he for real? I have read t...

Re: Struggling Newbie

I had trouble with the Swift FX too until I realized the Zen secret of these masks -- you absolutely, positively must keep your mouth shut for them to work. The whole CPAP system depends on pressurizing your body's main air passage, from nostrils through esophagus down to lungs -- like inflating a b...

NEW Swift FX masks for sale

I have some extra Swift FX masks that I'd like to sell, if there's any interest. There's four of them, and all are absolutely new, unopened and sealed in the sterile package that these masks come in. I will only accept payment through PayPal, which gives both buyer and seller protection for transact...

Re: Dreams and CPAP

I never had a single dream before starting CPAP; now I have two vivid dreams every night. I remember two of them because I wake up a little bit after the first one, look at the clock, and then go back to sleep and have another dream. Very strange that it works that way almost every night, but it does.

Re: Dr Suggested Uvulopalatal flap Surgery

The AHI numbers your surgeon is finding "acceptable" are horrifying, and good reason to suspect that you need a new doctor -- maybe one who is not so intent on selling surgical procedures. Go to a recognized sleep doctor -- NOT a surgeon -- and give the CPAP a chance to work. Like you, I don't love ...

Re: Operating on DC while camping

I just finished using my CPAP on a two-day camping trip, and I noticed two things. First, there is no problem at all using the blower on DC without a humidifier -- mostly because you have no idea how moist the air gets inside an enclosed space like a tent with two or three people breathing in it all...

Re: cheaper option than Optima battery

In response to the question by the OP, I actually use a Devilbiss Intellipap for camping and travel, and that's the one that I use with my 35 A-h battery. (The battery is a deep cycle AGM battery from a reputable American manufacturer. Again, I recommend http://www.atbatt.com for these batteries, bu...

Re: cheaper option than Optima battery

check out the back-up battery design created by John B. Franklin on this website. I followed his plan exactly and got almost all of the components on a website called http://www.atbatt.com. Even using the "more expensive" option for virtually all of the items, I still ended up with a total cost of a...
