Plane travel and the water for your CPAP
Everyone, In the past while traveling by air I have transportation available to when I get there so I can run out and get distilled water for my CPAP machine. This time I'm taking a trip to San Antonio and I'll be riding a shuttle to a downtown hotel so running out to get some distilled water might ...

Re: DreamWear is a dream for me
It is great when you find a mask that works for you. I have been using the Dreamwear Nasal Pillow mask. I tried the Dreamwear Nasal for a few nights and could not get a good seal, but the pillows seem to work for me. My original thought was to get a nasal pillow mask and was talked into the Nasal m...

DreamWear is a dream for me
I just wanted to throw out a recommendation for the Phillips Respironics DreamWear mask. I've been a CPAP user for 5 years now and previously the only mask that I could get to work for me was a Resmed Mirage Softgel mask and even with that mask I needed use a mask pad from PadACheek to minimize my l...

Anyone have any experience with the LUMIN CPAP Cleaner
OK, I received an answer concerning the merits of the VirtuClean Ozone CPAP cleaner and the issue of residual ozone freaks me out but I read another article yesterday about another cleaner called LUMIN. This cleaner uses a ultra-violet light to clean your equipment. Does anyone have any experience w...

Would like info on VirtuClean CPAP cleaner
I recently asked my DME about the SClean CPAP cleaner as I was skeptical over whether it really works or not. He said that it does but he recommends the VirtuClean device instead. If you have a VirtuClean can you provide any feedback on your experience with using this device to clean both the Mask, ...

Re: Is there a correlaton between pressure and AHI?
I use RESMED and I checked my AHI for the last 4 days and it had gone up from an average of 3.3 over 4 years to 5.0. Sent the results to my DME who agreed so I changed it back and he's going to notify the Doc. Left the high pressure at 20. Thought this was a mistake to begin with but since I had los...

Is there a correlaton between pressure and AHI?
I'm a bit concerned and I would like to hear if there's a correlation between pressure and AHI. When I got my CPAP machine my doctor in Illinois set my pressure to be 13 - 17. When I was in for my checkup 2 weeks ago my doctor here in Florida said that my pressure was close to my high point of 17. H...

Any Suggestions on a new mask for me?
Does anyone have any suggestions for me regarding a new mask? Here's my issue..... My current mask is a Resmed Mirage softgel and this mask has serviced me well for a number of year but after loosing 53 pounds I'm not getting as good a seal as before when I had a fatter face. I bought a Resmed Airfi...

Try before you buy CPAP Masks
Its' been a while since I was out on any CPAP forum but I recall that on one forum there was someone that worked for a CPAP shop that would let you try out CPAP masks for a small fee. Is that person on this board? If so, does anyone know his name and/or how to get in touch with him? If he's not on t...

Re: lph or gerd (acid in general)
I'm on meds because of GERD and in general, my meds keep my GERD in check but on occasion I'll have a flare up at night and yes, I've been awaken out of a dead sleep by an attack. Remember, for the most part your lying down which reduces the resistance needed for the GERD to flow out of the stomach ...

Re: Do mild painkillers have any known effects?
I switched taking my one baby aspirin form morning to night, about a month before starting cpap, I like the outcome. I stopped waking up with the fluttering pulse--Still woke up--that's good. Interesting that you mentioned the switch in time as I recently read an article that said that anyone on an...

Confused about Sleepyhead versioning
Can anyone tell me what the story is in regard to versioning of SleepyHead for Windows? I downloaded and installed a version sometime in March of 2012 and I upgraded it to versoin 0.9.2-1 dated January 13, 2012. Today I went out to SorceForge and it tells me that the latest version is now 0.9.1 but ...

Re: Any solutions for nasal swelling
Last night I left my S9's humidity setting at 2.5. I went to bed again breathing OK and woke up breathing OK at 5:30 AM. The only thing I noted was that my throat was a kind of dry. I think I'm going to ramp it up to 3.0 and see if there's any improvement.
