Re: Cpap sleep resistence syndrome
If someone feels that taking a particular action improved their health and isn't generalizing their experience to everyone else, I am not sure I understand what the problem is. As far as consulting doctors vs. googling a problem, yeah, that would be ideal. Unfortunately, that doesn't always work as ...

Re: New Users
I've noticed that some members here are not always kind to new users. I remember when I first started CPAP that I was anxious all the time, I was continually second guessing choices of equipment and sleep tactics, and I had a hard time understanding what other CPAP users meant when they were talkin...

Asking the same question as I thought this board was about helping people vs. having a contest to see who can write the most insulting post. Silly me.Gryphon wrote:Ummmmmm? What the heck just happened?

Re: Warning about Vitamin B cancer risks
I didn't see this when it was first published over the summer, but it's worth noting the elevated risks of cancer in men taking high doses of B6 or B12: https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2017/08/b12-energy/537654/?utm_source=aofb Everything in moderation... Hmm. I'm too tired to cross-chec...

Re: OT: Lunesta vs generic (Eszopiclone)
Using restoril as sleep aide. First couple nights woke up drugged. Called doc--she said yes it can happen on Cpap. Now on half dose and getting off altogether, I had taken it on a PRN basis until being diagnosed with lymphoma earlier this year. Unfortunately, I started taking it full time and I wis...

Ok, I am contributing to the problem by posting in this thread but I have to make a point. As long as threads like this are started and people continue to respond to xxyzx, he is not going to go away. And please get over the fact that he will be removed by the Goodmans. Not going to happen. Anyway, ...

Re: Service Dogs For Sleep Apnea?
This is a very interesting read. FWIW, there are service dogs for people who have narcolepsy. That is a bona fide disability but it doesn't have anything to do with sleep apnea. SSA has removed Sleep Apnea as a disability - you have to qualify under other things (they can be caused by sleep apnea)....

Re: CPAP STILL CAUSING ASTHMA
Forgive me if that has been mentioned who is monitoring your apnea treatment? If it isn't a sleep specialist who is a pulmonologist, perhaps you might consider consulting that type of person for a 2nd opinion because of your asthma and related issues. Other apnea boards to check out for assistance i...

There are problem people here--Julie, Las and XXy who seem to get a real charge out of harrassing others when they make the slightest error--in their mind anyway. . I am not deleting anyones posts. I referred to Ahi as Ahis--so what. And XXYy--I am truely speechless. AMESS, You're right, referring ...

Re: FDA approved??
Never saw this before.... http://zzomaosa.com/ What crap!!! Seems like a $10 fanny pack with a tennis ball would work just as well. I think it has been around. What irks me is it is by prescription only. Yeah, really dangerous if the patient obtains it on his/her own. Agree that the $10 fanny pack ...
