This is a very interesting read. FWIW, there are service dogs for people who have narcolepsy. That is a bona fide disability but it doesn't have anything to do with sleep apnea. SSA has removed Sleep Apnea as a disability - you have to qualify under other things (they can be caused by sleep apnea)....

Forgive me if that has been mentioned who is monitoring your apnea treatment? If it isn't a sleep specialist who is a pulmonologist, perhaps you might consider consulting that type of person for a 2nd opinion because of your asthma and related issues.
