Re: Exhalation ports are too noisy for spouse!

I am going crazy trying to find silence which has eluded me for 8 years now. You are not alone for sure. Sounds pretty much like me, the its been longer than 8 years. herefishy has a good point. Even though its not obvious, but the Mask you have can make the unit itself more quite vs other masks. A...

CPAP does not seem to help - Dry mouth

Okay, so the put me on CPAP 2 years or so ago. AHI was in the 40s. Been using it 95% of the past 2 years. I read about how many of you are all seeing the benefits of this 'great' device. Some after a few weeks, some after several month. I though 2 years should be enough. I'm still tired all the time...

Dr Suggested Uvulopalatal flap Surgery

I turned 40 this Past January (5'10" @ 200#). Had Sleep study a year ago and found I had AHI of 49. Went on CPAP the 1st of the year. Cannot say that I've really notices a huge difference. The Morning Headaches were much better, though I'm still tired throughout the day. I went in to see the ENT. He...

Re: Nasal Washing - Suggestions, Best Practices...

Just seems like more stuff (icky stuff) should be coming out when I use it. The only time stuff comes out is at the end after I take the pot away and just blow though my nose into the sink, stuff comes out, though not always. I guess I like Living on the Edge. (-: I use Well Water that has a Water S...

So I've been using a Neti pot with the standard nailmed saline solution... Though I've water a couple you tube vids and read though the How-To. Seems like I'm doing it wrong... Is Neti pot the better way to clean out the Nose/Sinus cavity? When I use the Neti pot, water goes in and quickly comes out...

Re: Septoplasty and Turbinate Reduction Surgery...

For those that have had it done, Did you have Packing or No Packing? I've heard it is pretty uncomfortable. Though I'd hate for things to shift around after they get out of there. Surgery is Scheduled for the 7/13! So if I get Packing, its in for at least 3 days as I don't think they would want me t...

Re: Septoplasty and Turbinate Reduction Surgery...

I have Issues with blockages and low air flow without the use of CPAP. The MRI does show a Deviated Septum and sever narrowing on my right side. I'm always having to blow my nose during the day too. )-:

So I've been having breathing issues for some time where it seems like my nose if always full though there is little or nothing there. When I sleep at night or sit in the recliner to relax before bed my nose starts to stop up. Does not seem to be one side more than the other. I've been on CPAP since...

Re: Dry Mouth

I Clench and 'Suck in' pretty much most of the time. It causes Dry mouth. Its much worse when I sleep. When I do happen to breath through my mouth it is as you describe. I'm not on Med either. I know you said you didn't breath through your mouth, though I though I would offer some of the things I've...

Re: When should I feel results? Read those posts, Not any better

Thank you all for your replies. Just feeling so frustrated... My Last Dr Conversation ended with him saying that we might want to look more into my 'Mental Health'. I'm not interested in AD meds. The Mask I'm using at the moment is the Quattro (Non FX) full-face mask with Headgear. Has the big foreh...

When should I feel results? Read those posts, Not any better

I read the posts about when people start to fee better after CPAP, and they range from a few days to a month, to two max. I've been on since Januart 1st this year. I honestly cannot say that my daily quality of live has seen a significant, or insignificant improvement. My AHI was 49, on CPAP it's do...

System One humidifier...

I had a Remstar M200 ( old old ) unit with humidifier. With the Comfortgel blue nasal mask I'd set it on 1 and get some rain out and go through most of th water in the container in a single night. Same unit, with the Quattro (FX or non FX) and I can set the humidifier to 2 and be okay with rainout a...

Re: is the CMS-50F Wrist Pulse Oximeter a good Oximeter to buy

I wanted to thank bemused for mentioning doortodoorshop.com. I bought mine (CMS50F) from that site on line for $95 (total includes shipping), paid with PayPal, and it arrived in about a week via USPS international mail. It was as easy as ordering something off of any American web site. I bought fro...

Re: sleepyhead and pulse oximeters

I bought my CMS-50F ($95) from here: http://www.door2doorshop.com/wholesale/ ... 0F-36.html

It is the real deal. Works great with Sleepyhead. Took about a Week to get after purchase.

Had good email communications with vendor too.
