Bad Night events

I'm just wondering, how many of you have experienced bad nights. I finally managed to get my AHI under 2. After several fine tuning in my S8 Autoset I've set my S8 for CPAP and 8 pressure (no EPR). For three nights I had AHI<1 and AI=0 and then this morning when I checked my S8 LCD there's AHI=4.8 a...

Re: Cervical Collar

Tried cervical collar last night. In fact ZERO leaks and ZERO AI (very uncommon for me). Maybe it was useful against my mild aerophagia. But my HI doubled and I woke up with pain in my teeth ( I thinking about a silicone dental apliance for bruxism). Need a few more nights to decide if I'll keep the...

Re: Cervical Collar

Hi - I must suggest you rethink the collar idea, good as it sounds. Your MD will back me up I think ... if you wear collars, even in bed when you're not moving around much, the muscles in your neck will start to weaken, and you'll lose some degree of control over time. It's the kind of surprise peo...

Re: High AI and constant pressure (using autoset)

Thanks max and jweeks. I'll post a detailed graph later. In fact I had AHI=4.5 and AI=0.9 maybe 6 hours of sleep for this particular night of sleep. The pressure was stuck at the minimum 11.6. My average is AHI=3 with Autoset working to 12 or even 13 S8 has very limited data information, no airflow ...

High AI and constant pressure (using autoset)

I'm intrigued why some nights mi AI > 1 using Autoset and the pressure keep at minimum?
I've been used to Ai=0.1 and I see Autoset working at my graph and then last night my AI=0.9 with no pressure change !!

Have some of you experienced this with S8 Autoset II ??

Re: Odd Rescan event

sorry Liz. S8 smartcard don't gather flow data.
I have watched the Rescan Tutorial and don't why it can help me in this particular case.

Lizistired wrote:Did you zoom in and look at the events in the FLOW graph?
If you don't have the flow graph, watch the ResScan tutorial linked in my signature.

every time view I set, these two events are grouped together.

Exhale relief (EPR, Cflex) correlation with AHI

For so long, after change my EPR from 2 to 1, my AHI is <2.

Is there any correlation with exhale relief and apneas?

I think the impact is more than a comfort feature.

Re: Problems - Software for Resmed S8 Autoset

If your problem is leaks, swaping S8 for S9 won't solve it. You can get leak data out of S8 with a (expensive) proprietary card reader (i bought one for U$56 in ebay from one guy from Israel). S9 uses a SD card (the same used in digital cameras), easy to read. You can get more data with a S9 (air fl...
