Re: Has anyone had success with the Quattro FX?

Gaz ~ I am beginning to think you are right. With my Quattro, I can get in bed and get right on to my side (my regular sleeping position) with no leaks and relative comfort. I am using a small now, but I am going to trial and x-small from the CPAP Library to see if that is a little more comfortable....

Re: What self talk have you used to keep mask on?

I listen to my father's voice in my head. He says, "Snootz, this is just something you have to do. You can do it, you are strong." "Just something we had to do" is the way he explained how the greatest generation got through the war. If Dad could do that, I can do this. That is a great way of looki...

Re: What self talk have you used to keep mask on?

I've also considered ordering a Pad-a-Cheek liner if that's what it takes to keep it on. I'd rather not have more stuff on my face, but if I must I must. Your thoughts and feedback are appreciated. Starlette Starlette, the mask liner from PadaCheek becomes part of the mask. Once it is installed and...

Perhaps adding a room humidifier would help?

Re: newbie needs help on the process

Well, you have the hard part done. Adjusting to CPAP is different for each individual. I've been "using" for about a month now. I can get to sleep fine, I just have to figure our how to keep it on all night. And if you have trouble, there are people here who can help with that as well. Good Luck.

Re: Vivid Dreams

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but the topic of dreams reminded me of this. I thought we only dream when in REM sleep, which takes a while to get into, but sometimes, it seems to me that I start dreaming right away. Sometimes while in that half awake/half asleep state. I sometimes start to com...

Re: newbie needs help on the process

I like having my DME local, that way I can go there to get what I want/need and not need to wait for them to mail it to me.

Re: Has anyone had success with the Quattro FX?

So, put the mask on while it is attached to the running CPAP, eh? I would have never thought of that. Do you place it on standing up and adjust laying down?

Re: Has anyone had success with the Quattro FX?

I am only at a pressure of 8. If I can't make it work, I can't make it work. I want it to work though.

Re: Has anyone had success with the Quattro FX?

I didn't feel like adjusting my mask all night again last night, so I used my mirage quattro, went straight to sleep on my side and slept through the night. I have a few more things that I plan to try with the FX before I make a decision. The lack of the forehead bar is very appealing. Peterg, can y...

Re: Has anyone had success with the Quattro FX?

That is the exact problem I am having. Perfect on my back, on my side it leaks into my eyes. I am a side sleeper so I had a rather frustrating night last night.

Has anyone hae success using this mask while sleeping on their side? What is the secret?
Thanks,
Gina

Re: Has anyone had success with the Quattro FX?

Thanks everyone! I always wash my face before "masking up" so that isn't an issue. It is nice to hear that people have found success with this mask. I am trialing the small FX, which I think is smaller than my Quattro size small, so If I can't get the FX to work, I am going to ask to try an x-small ...
