Re: Zeo mobile
My Zeo Mobile did a strange thing last night. When I went to bed at 11pm, it said it was recording. It was on the second bar by the time I got all my other gear on and turned out the light. When I woke up, It only had data from 4 am to 8 am. Several other times it has stopped recording in the middle...

Re: OT:Good Calories, Bad Calories....
Pork rinds have become one of my favorite no/low carb snacks. Ah... I forgot about those! My wife bought some this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised at the 0g carb listing. Almond butter...does it have too many carbs? I prefer that to peanut butter. If I thinly spread 1 tbsp peanut butter on cele...

Re: Wise to tell the Doctor?
My Dr. knows I use SleepyHead and adjust my own pressures. My first visit to the DME and Dr. I was getting 0.0 every night. I complained that I thought the machine was not working properly. My DME gave me a new machine, my Dr. said, "Do you mind if we try raising your pressure?" She was familiar wit...

Re: Where do you wear your chin strap.
So far I am the only one that voted over the headgear. I started out wearing it under.
Then I read on here that it could be worn over. That stopped my leaks. I can get the pillows in just the right position and they stay there.

Re: Increased appetite after starting CPAP?
I have been on CPAP for 4 months. I have gained 10 unwanted pounds. My appetite has increased. My energy has increased slightly and now I spend a lot of time cooking and eating. I have started the low carb way of eating. Well, trying to start. So far I haven't been very good about giving up DrPepper...

Re: SleepyHead glitch with DST???
There are a lot of places my SleepyHead is goofed up. Here are but a few in red circles... wrong wake times, extended chart with no data (and should not have data there, but should end at the end of the flow), wrong durations (2x actual), multiple sessions when there was but one session, etc. http:...

Re: Interesting and informative O2 recording
This was just my first time using the oxymeter without the Cpap. Rest assured that I always sleep with the machine. 7 1/2 hrs a night. Every reading I have done with the machine stayed above 93%. Before CPAP, I had the suffocating dream frequently. Not anymore. I love my machine.

Re: Effects Of Caffeine?
I wouldn't go cold turkey. You could get a horrible headache. When I give up DrPepper (and I have done it many times). I cut myself down to 4oz every few hours and give it up over the course of a few days. I gave it up again last week. The first two days I was off it completely, my mouth kept leakin...

Re: Interesting and informative O2 recording
Scary looking, isn't it. My O2 was so low during my sleep study that they put me on O2 after a few hours and wouldn't do the split study. When I am using the CPAP, the O2 doesn't drop below 88 except when the finger slips. I am a believer in CPAP, wish I had been diagnosed sooner.

Re: 6-week delay for CPAP titration?
I had to wait 4 weeks. They had the option of doing a split night study, but my O2 dropped so low within the first 2 hrs that they put me on O2 instead. Then sent me home without a machine. I borrowed a machine and used it until I got the titration and machine. It was quite a coincidence that the ma...

Re: Bipap with efficacy data?
I am sure you will be happy with that one. You can let it adjust the pressure every night or use the auto part to find your best pressure and set it to those numbers. A very versatile machine.jen4700 wrote:I looked it up on cpap.com and the ResMed S9 VPAP Auto is ResMed's version of bipap.

Re: What am I doing wrong?
Your screen shots are focused in on a very small period of time. You need to let us see how the pressure varies during the whole night. I see your pressure is set at 4-20. The lower number is probably not giving enough support to prevent the events. When it drops down after an event, it can't get up...

Re: Bipap with efficacy data?
I got the Resmed S9 VPAP (VPAP is Resmed's way of saying BiPap) in Jan. I love it. It is so quiet and easy to breathe with that I forget it is there. I have to check the mask exhaust to see that it is still running. I wish I had gotten the auto because it sounds like it would be more fun to play wit...

Interesting and informative O2 recording
I put the grandbaby down for a nap and she wanted me to rest with her. I didn't want to mask up because she had never seen it before. Besides, I got the nifty O2 meter and haven't used it without the mask for a "baseline" measurement. All went well for the first part of the nap and then the dream be...
