Re: CPAPTalk.com Bugs? Tell Our Developers Here.

Is there a response to suggestions from developers? Or is this thread a dead end suggestion box? It would be nice to see a response. The board operators started this thread in October to get feedback on real problems encountered by us when they made a major server farm switch. They allowed it to re...

Re: Why you should replace your mask and cushion regularly

Is there any reason to replace a mask or cushions or nasal pillows as long as the leak rate is not more than the rate given in the literature that comes with the mask? I don't see why 3 months or 6 months or some similar arbitrary amount of time is what should determine the need for replacement.

Re: How real is the chance of dying in your sleep due to apnea?

CPAP is a blessing that helps us sleep better so we can be healthier. We need to think about in those positive terms. To view it as something standing between you and the grim reaper reflects a negative and unproductive attitude. Take a step or two towards the positive side of things and you will en...

Re: A Relative Newbie Gets a Big Surprise

Congratulations on your success!

Your story makes me wonder how many other people posting here, who are sleeping poorly in spite of XPAP, could be in need of supplimental oxygen. Perhaps pulse oximeters should be more widely used.

Re: CPAPTalk.com Bugs? Tell Our Developers Here.

Thread titles: Make them active! When you cursor over the thread title, all that appears is "New posts." What should appear instead is the first 15 to 20 or so words of the post. Thread titles are often very non-descriptive - this would solve that and greatly improve the useability of the site. Thanks

Allergy Season - Benefits to CPAP?

As a new CPAP user, I've read that I should experience less problems with pollen due to breathing filtered air at night.

Does CPAP help reduce problems with pollen? What has your experience been?

Thread Titles

Is there a way to cursor over the thread title and see the first ten or so words of the post?

This is a great board but it would be better to easily see what a discussion thread is about without having to open it.

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere - I looked but could not find it.

Re: AHI at 16 on CPAP... help!

This may not fit your situation, but consider trying a thinner pillow so as to to keep your neck more in alignment with your spine. For many of us an overly bent neck seems to favor airway blockages and apnea events.

Re: Just diagnosed, living overseas, what to expect

There are many types of masks. Many of us prefer the nasal pillow type. These are small and sit under and against your nostrils. Hopefully they will let you try different types and then sit for 30 minutes or so to practice breathing. Breathing is "backwards" - you exert effort to exhale and let the ...

I like the discussion of the positive benefits of CPAP in this thread. Being a cyborg has it's advantages. Fuller breathing in the daytime and the pleasure of blissfully sleeping in late.

Good eyes - DrPepper00. Same price, same phone number, many different locations. Suggest that these be flagged. Looks like a ripoff to me.
