Re: CPAP and TSA screening

Happy 2018 to you! For me, medical items should be packed separately to protect from damage or loss. I use a standalone CPAP carrying bag and take it on with my other carry on item(s). The airlines I use do not consider it as a carry on item, unless other non-medically needed items are present (clot...

Re: sore chest

A few weeks 3 to 5 the pain goes away, your chest is working a little harder. jim lorenadam, As Jim alludes to above, I experienced this as well for a few weeks after beginning my XPAP therapy. It was always just mild muscle soreness, like you get after increased physical activity or a new exercise...

Re: Does anyone give their mask a five star?

I use a P R Easylife Nasal mask. For me it is as close to perfect as I could hope for. It was the first and only mask Kaiser gave me to try, fortunately it worked well and I have been using it since November 2011, Compared to how I slept before with untreated severe OSA, I do sleep like a big, happy...

Re: OT - Crocheted Door Pulls

Hi Maddie, I am sorry the physical restrictions you must face everyday. I was following some past threads of yours for a while, but stopped coming on here and lost track of your progression. If I am being honest, I lost my breath for a moment when I stopped to realize all of the things I do everyday...

Re: Is it normal for sleepyhead data files to be this large?

Nothing to be impressed about... Even the longest using PAP users here were at one time newbies in their treatment and the size of their SleepyHead data files/folders . But for me, I still feel like a newbie to this therapy in comparison to the 10, 15, 20+ year PAP users who in my experience have b...

Re: Is it normal for sleepyhead data files to be this large?

My SleepyHead data goes from November 2011 to present. It is currently at 1.28 GB with 23,139 Files, 24 Folders. This seems like a lot to me as well, but the data collected is very comprehensive, so who knows... (I sure don't)

Re: Sleep study scared me wide awake

I don't know if you have this option or not, but back in 2011 Kaiser Permanente sent me home with a Philips Respironics "Alice" portable sleep monitoring unit that I used for a overnight study. For me it provided a relaxed, comfortable environment I could sleep in and provided the basic information ...

Re: OT: 2016 World Series poll

I agree about the Cubs dry streak, that's why I will still be happy for them even if they beat the Indians. Talk about dedicated, patient and deserving fans! They said in yesterdays game that Kluber might pitch game 4 and even 7 (if the series goes that long). I think he is voodoo proof, but familia...
