Re: mask leaking

This is a great help and can't wait to try working on this tonight! It's also good to know that I'm not the only one w/leaks.

mask leaking

Is it common to have your mask leak when you change position during the night? I think I could get a good nights rest if it weren't for having to adjust my mask.

Re: need a new mask

I actually ulled out the soft gel mask that I used in my titration. MUCH more comfortable but I'm calling my dme tomorrow for sure. Found a couple of interesting ones that don't have the headpiece. Any ideas about those?

need a new mask

I'm using a quattro and hate it. Didn't I read about a mask for people who sleep on their side?

Re: Newbie still in shock!

I'm with you! I have my titration this Fri. I couldn't believe it, and still don't! I'm SURE they will look at themselves and say, "why is this person here??!!!" ...maybe, but probably not. I've gotten great advise from these folks here and have printed it out and studied it. I'm loaded for bear whe...

Re: How many times is normal?

I'm with you. I am scheduled for my titration next Fri. and honestly... my sleep better improve a LOT! I keep saying to myself, 'but I don't feel bad! I get up during the night a time or two, depending upon how much water I've drunk during the day and in the evening. I'm assuming that will remain th...

Re: suggestions?

I'm printing a bunch of this stuff to take with us while on vacation. Gotta have SOMETHING to do at the beach! Just one more thing: someone mentioned a titration study. What is that? The oxygen company guy called yesterday (they are out of network and he's calling the dr. to have them recommend some...

Re: suggestions?

All y'all have been so great, thanks! I'm ready to start making phone calls to find out the details of this and I'm ready to be assertive about what I do NOT want.

Re: suggestions?

Oh my gosh! I had no idea there was any technical info I'd be responsible for! As I was reading all the posts it was like reading Greek. I had already decided that I wanted a nose mask rather than a nose and mouth, but I don't know what "pillow" means and I've read about "gel". Thanks so much for th...

suggestions?

Sigh... here I am, not ready - at all! - for yet another reminder that I'm getting older. I was just diagnosed w/ mild/moderate apnea and am waiting for the supply company's call to fit me for my first cpap equip. Suggestions? I AM NOT looking forward to this. I think dread might be the right word.
