Re: Am I the only nut who uses bottled water in my humidifier?
Reverse Osmosis. Its a water purification system I had installed for ice and drinking water, its rather close to distilled water but not quite as clean (or so I am told). I have well water but its a new well, goes through a 5 micron filter, water softener, another 5 micron charcoal filter, UV scrub...

Re: Am I the only nut who uses bottled water in my humidifier?
Distilled, period. It's about having no impurities in the water I'm breathing and no minerals to build up in the machine. If I run out of distilled I may use other bottled water or tap water for one night, but the next day for sure I'll get a new bottle. Has anyone seen cases of small bottles of di...

Re: Am I the only nut who uses bottled water in my humidifier?
Distilled has nothing else in it but after reading on here how many others use regular water I have been using RO water. I may just switch back to distilled because it is the "cleanest" water source. What is RO water? The thing with distilled water is the I have only seen gallon jugs of it. As a nu...

Am I the only nut who uses bottled water in my humidifier?
Are my husband and I nuts to be using bottled drinking water that says purified water from Sam's for our CPAP machines instead of distilled water?
Any thoughts?

Re: OT: Hotsauce: Abuse or Punishment?
I think hot sauce, soap, and spanking are really unnecessary. I think other methods such as time outs and taking away privileges can be just as effective. I also think that just because a parent does not spank does not mean they are lax parents. I think one can set rules/expectations/limits quite e...

I also have mixed feelings about politics here since I come here for CPAP info and not to hear the oft repeated lie that President Obama is not an American citizen. I don't recall anyone saying that Obama was not an American citizen. I did state that Obama's not a Natural Born US citizen, but I nev...

You don't think President Obama was handed a heap of trouble by the previous administration? I do Given the extremely difficult circumstances I think he has done a pretty good job. CPAP Lady, It has been over 2 1/2 years, the problems we are having now have nothing to do with Bush anymore. Well "Cp...

Anyone use CPAP on an oversea trip?
I am wondering if my CPAP machine will work with an adapter thingy overseas in France and Spain and elsewhere in Europe? Anyone have experience with using it overseas and taking the CPAP on international flights? What do I need to do?

CPAP Lady, your going to vote for this looser again? Why? Here's a quote for you, sorry I don't know from whom, but I agree completely with it: "Ever since he settled into the Oval Office, Obama has been hopping from one disaster to the next, making every possible mistake, boosting enemies and disr...

Do all insurance plans follow medicare guidelines for CPAP?
Do all insurance plans follow medicare rules for replacement of CPAP parts such as masks and nasal pillow parts? I ask because a neighbor has a blue cross plan ans was told by the DME that he can only get a mask every 3 months but no replacement pillows in the meantime which wear out about every 2 w...
