Re: Me and my FX called Q(uattro)
My DME gave me the Small Quattro FX and I needed the Med. After 3 months trying to adapt the small, I finally got the therapy I needed. Hope the bigger size does the trick for you. I agree, my lower jaw could just drop out of the Small. I have adapted a liner that is in essence a wide inverted U whi...

Belated birthday wishes. Hope your surgery went well. I, too, thank you for all your help a year ago when I was just starting this process.

Re: Quatrro FX mask noise
What type of noise? If it is a farting sound, pull up the mask a bit and readjust it without unclipping it from the headgear. That may work. Also, are you using a liner? That can help get a better seal, especially around the eyes/bridge of the nose. You can fell that leak and sometimes there is a bi...

Re: Quatro FX & Swift FX for Her - Free If You Have No Insurance
I've had 4 responses via pm, so these masks are probably already spoken for. Good luck in your CPAP therapy. I really appreciated the support through this forum when I first started this process.

Survived my First Cold on APAP
Have been on APAP since late May. Was thinking a few weeks ago that I hadn't had a stuffy nose since then. Shouldn't have thought that because I encountered a bug last week. The last 6 days, it's been herbal teas, Zicam, lots of tissues, and benedryl at night. Slept better than I thought I would. Su...

Re: Weight loss? WTF? It's either Facehugger or a Tapeworm
Glad to hear of all your success! I've gained 10 lbs since starting on CPAP. Had really hoped I could lose 10-15. Now I really do need to diet. Shucks, Food tastes good.

Re: Software for Fisher Paykel Icon Auto
If you haven't found the previous posts yet, as suggested in previous message, pm me and I'll give you the info. I got the software in Nov. It was worth the credit card charge and phone call to AU for it. I can better follow my progress now.

Re: Quattro FX fit problem
I too started with Swift FX and changed to the Quattro FX in July. I was fitted with a small and 3 weeks ago changed to a Medium. That has made a big difference. Not so easy to drop my chin out of the mask. I agree with the other posts. Make sure your face is clean and use a liner. Good luck!!

Re: Headgear Slip Sliding Away
Yes, buy the no-sew velcro that has a removeable backing. You can just stick it on the headgear. I did find that after 4-5 weeks, one end started coming loose. I just cut that part off. When it came loose, the velcro stuck to my hair.... not too pleasant to remove. So, the velcro strip might have to...

Re: Fisher & Paykel ICON Auto: Need advice
I've been using this machine 5+ months and like its compactness, humidifier, quietness... However, I just got the software last week. Had to get my sleep doc's note. Ordered from AU. Email:- cpapmarlincoast@hotmail.com Fax:- (07) 40 578060 (from the USA 011 61 7 40 578060) Postal:- Marlin Coast Amca...

Re: Got InfoSmart Software - F&P Auto Icon
Thanks Pugsy for the pm/email so we could get the data out to others. Glad to know that the data is better than some machines and useable in its format. Since knowledge is power, I'm hoping that having the data available will help me improve my numbers.

Re: New User with Mask Questions (Quattro FX)
You may want to consider using a liner. That helped me eliminate the leaks around the eyes. I did find that I couldn't use the pad-a-cheek that covered the lower part of the mask. I couldn't get a seal there, so am using a liner (try an old t-shirt) cut in a fat U shape that stops right above your m...

Yes, I feel like I'm finally in the loop.
Data is not as detailed as other reports I've seen on this forum. I'm not sure how to include the data in a post. I don't want to post the whole file, for it includes my name and other data. Can I scan a page and save to a file, then attach that file?
