Re: Teeth alignment shifting
I have noticed this, and am really annoyed. At one appointment, I grilled my sleep specialist about every possible negative side effect I could think of (bottom teeth shifting not being among them). She said, "There is no downside to CPAP therapy." When I noticed my teeth shifting and asked her abou...

Re: 4cm min–4cm max: experiment
lowering the over-all pressure may result in a slightly higher AHI, but result in fewer leaks and more comfort, thereby producing a better night's sleep. Yes, it's a bit tricky. Additionally, myself and others have found that once your have found your ideal pressure range with APAP, switching to CP...

4cm min–4cm max: experiment
I set my pressure to 4cm min–4cm max for six nights and found that my average AHI was 5.4. On 5cm min–9cm max, my average AHI was 2.7. I did this experiment because I wanted to get 100% clear that I really have SDB and that CPAP therapy addresses it. Those of you who have been following my story kno...

Re: OT: Gluten free cooking
Someone else told me yesterday that gluten needs to attach itself to sugar. Then it spreads through the body, wreaking its havoc. He told me that a company has come out with a sugar "decoy." The duped gluten attaches itself to the decoy and is then escorted out of the body without stopping at Go or...

Re: OT: Gluten free cooking
Different reactions. Lactose is destroyed by fermentation so those with lactose intolerance can eat cheese and yogurt. Allergies are usually to the proteins which are not affected by fermentation. Ah-ha! Thanks! Be aware that there's more to fear in grains than just gluten. We're better off without...

Dry mouth w/FFM symptom of inadequate therapy?
I've read here that waking with a dry mouth when using nasal pillows is a sign of possible leaks because the person's mouth is opening when asleep. I've thought that that is not the case with a ffm b/c the mask is sealed around nose and mouth, and the air would simply go down the mouth if the mouth ...

Re: OT: Gluten free cooking
Thanks for the info on fermenting without dairy, Janknitz. The "symbioltic colony of bacteria and yeast," mothers, mushrooms, blooms, and innoculating does all sound very mysterious and science-fiction-like. Someone was telling me that lacto-fermented foods are OK with people who are allergic or hav...

I would think that sleeping in anyposition when analyzing data would lead to questionable conclusions about the results.Grand-PAP wrote:So perhaps one should consider back sleeping when analyzing data.

Thanks for looking at them, anyway. What do you look at in SH? What info do you find valuable?Pugsy wrote:To be honest, I don't even bother with these overview graphs. There isn't anything there that I need so I haven't spent much time there.

Your other graph questions...could you give us a screen shot so we can see what you are seeing and wondering about. Also what SH version are you using? Are you using a Mac? Hi, Pugsy. Here are the graphs. I am using v0.9.2.-1 and I'm on a PC. Session Times graph: I would like to be able to see more...

Re: SleepyHead Tutorial Under Underconstruction
Over in the left-hand column, with Details selected, at the very bottom, there's a section called Session Information which gives starting and ending times to the minute. You'll probably need to scroll down to see it. Here's an example: Found them. Thanks, yarrow! (There are three sessions because ...

Re: OT: Gluten free cooking
you can add a little bit of the juice of fermented veggies or even naturally fermented vinegar Hey, Janknitz, how are these fermented? A few years ago I was lacto-fermenting my salsa, beet kvass, sauerkraut, as per Sally Fallon. But that involved using whey. What other healthy ways are there of fer...
