Re: Your Choice, your Vote
Kohkie, I'm guessing you haven't seen Gazhacks' posts on a thread labeled as OT about Boehner. Four minutes prior to starting this thread, he wrote "...WAR, POLITICS, and RELIGN [sic] and should be banned. I would like to be the first to propose a ban on such topics." I hadn't looked at the thread b...

Re: Your Choice, your Vote
For the record, I have never started an off-topic thread (and I very seldom read them). I would not, however, choose to deny the opportunity to others to start such a thread, but I do believe they should have the consideration to label them as such, and most do so. I have, on occasion, been drawn to...

Re: Your Choice, your Vote
Here we go again... While it is true that the purpose of this forum is to discuss sleep apnea, other related sleep disorders, and the issues that go along with them, most of us are not all-consumed by them. When we get to "know" other people, we may sometimes want to discuss other things with them. ...

Re: Update Continued
Dori,
I, for one, would never presume to second guess the decisions you and Mike make. All I'll say is trust in the Lord's guidance and in yourselves. Once again, I'll continue to pray for you both.
Joe

Re: UPDATE ON MIKE'S MEDICAL SITUATION
Dori, Your story reminds me so much of what my parents went through, but I can't pretend to understand the anguish you must feel at watching Mike suffer. Your love for him has always been so clear. I know your focus is so strongly on him, but please do your best to take care of yourself, so you can ...

Re: First night after switching to APAP
Good news on the lower AHI. Let's hope it keeps getting better. Good idea to get used to things first before you make any adjustments. After a while, it's possible that a little tweaking (like maybe a tighter range) may improve things, too. Like you, my apnea is worse on my back. I guess it's a good...

Re: What am I doing wrong? Is it my machine?
There is a type of complex sleep apnea/sleep disorder called Pickwickian Sydrome, (also known as Obesity Hyperventilation Syndrome) I'm not trying to be picky here, Mark, but trying to help people who might misunderstand. It's hypo ventilation, meaning you're not breathing often enough and/or deepl...

Re: Would you be happy with a compliance only machine?
Would I be happy with a compliance only machine? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! During my titration study, I could not lie on my side (my preferred position) because of all the wires. Instead I had to lie on my back. Like many people here, my apneas are more frequent and more severe on my back. As a consequence,...

I never heard of registering a mask. Learn something new every day...
I have, however, heard of DMEs doin' some dirty dealin' and it looks like this one fits the bill. Sounds to me like somebody's got some 'splainin' to do.
