Re: In-line Bacteria Filter
Don't have any experience with this, but we did go camping or rather RVing at a full hookup site, so I was able to use my cpap and O2 concentrator, but there was huge pollen, mega pollen, here in Colorado, totally consumed and dusted everything. I'm going to check out my filters on my cpap machine n...

Re: Tricks to eliminating pressure marks on face?
Oh, this is soo easy! I started at bipap pressure of 25/21 (max pressure). I gave up on all masks, they all leaked and left
large marks and redness. I switched to Swift FX Nasal Pillows and have never looked back. They are sweet. Never leak
even with high pressures, and work like a dream.

Re: Humidifier tank question on Phillips Respironics System One
I have to wonder why warm tap water is a not advised? I have municipal water, it is treated with chlorine, and it is tested routinely and reported to us, it is bacteria free, bug free, no creepy crawleys. What's the beef with tap water? Of course, it might contain other stuff like hard water, minera...

Re: bipap settings
Can't help with auto stuff, but I have the regular PRS1 Bipap Pro (2011 model). I have settings currently at 18/14. As I understand,
one wants to have a difference of 4. I started at 25/21 and self titrated down to 18/14 using Encore Pro 2.4 program.
Any lower and my numbers go up.

Re: Humidifier tank question on Phillips Respironics System One
In addition to my last post...I use distilled water. I also rinse out the chamber with warm tap water and let dry each morning. I only wash with mild soap once or twice a month. No need to scrub with a brush, why? It's never gummed up. It never gets dirty, moldy, cruddy, or grundgy. It's too easy to...

Re: Opinions sought on using a chin strap
With my pillows and my chin strap, sometimes I still wake up at night with dry mouth...I just close my mouth, get some saliva going and go back to sleep. I don't count that as an actual wake up as I do not turn off my machine to get out of bed for a personal break. But, I know I've been mouth breath...

Re: Still have Excess Daytime sleepiness
sounds good, but check your O2 levels while sleeping. You need an oximeter that records during the night.

Re: Still have Excess Daytime sleepiness
You have the software, check the data. If your AHI is low, then check your oxygen levels with an oximeter. How many times do you wake during the night. I went from waking 6 to 12 times a night and had a sleep study AHI of 171, and was given bipap pressures of 25/21 and supplemental O2 by concentrato...

Re: Humidifier tank question on Phillips Respironics System One
My PRS1 humidifier tank has a circular opening on the top where one puts their finger in, pulls back on the tab and
voila, the top comes off. The pull tab has a hard stop so you can't over exert, won't break. This has been fine for
over three months.
