Thanks PST - I will keep a close eye on it and see if I have the same issue.

Re: Tips for my new Airsense Auto?

Nothing funky, I just changed the minimum pressure from the original setting since I prefer it to start higher.

Tips for my new Airsense Auto?

Hi folks! So I finally replaced my ResMed 9 Auto with a new AirSense 10 Auto. I've gone through and activated clinician mode and made the adjustments I'd made on the old unit (mostly turning off ramp and *ahem* possibly adjusting some other stuff *cough*). For those who have been using this version ...

Re: Am I the only one who feels this way?

I've been where you are, and it does get better. I know that doesn't mean a ton, but after 5 years of CPAP therapy I can tell you it does make a HUGE difference, and it's worth getting used to the mask and hose for the benefits it will bring into your life. But that's in the future. You're strugglin...

Cool, that's two I can try out if this one doesn't work (it's arriving tomorrow).

Thanks everyone!

Re: 3rd-party travel bag for S9?

Thanks! That's nearly the one I ordered, but I went with the shoulder-bag format, as I generally carry a backpack already.

However, if this one doesn't work, I'm going to try your suggestion next.

Re: 3rd-party travel back for S9?

Possibly, but with the Quattro FX, the thing is so fragile I'm not all that comfortable with jamming it in with the hose and power supply. The thing comes with a plastic insert you need to use just to keep it from getting bent under normal stress, so "Flight attendant shoves someone's roller bag aga...

3rd-party travel bag for S9?

Hi folks: Long time since I posted, but my PAP'ing is still going great! Mostly due to the help of folks in these forums, so figured I'd ping the group on this question as well =) I have the official S9 travel bag that holds the hose, power cable, S9, and humidifier. The problem is that there's not ...

Re: Weird Night

I've done the opposite just last night. When traveling, I use an Onyx eye shield to block out light in the room. It's hilarious (apparently) to watch me try to put the thing on AFTER the mask is on.

Hang in there!

Re: Battery Backup

Do you have any idea how long the power was off? I wouldn't expect most UPSs to run a CPAP for very long. The home versions won't. One small step up however, and you should get at least 4 hours out of it. In my case, the power was out for about eight, but since it happened overnight, I woke up befo...

Re: Battery Backup

What percentage of users here use some form of battery backup? For those who are, what do you consider the best? What is your primary use, power loss prevention, camping? I have a small APC Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) that I plug the CPAP system and my alarm clock into. I use it because my n...

Re: Can't make up my mind on which mask to use... Quattro or FX

I'm just a regular CPAP user, but I can echo your sentiments. The FX for me would be great unless I rolled over at night. The Quattro seems to stay put as I toss and turn. There are others on this forum that have tamed the FX and can wear it with minimal leaks, but I find that for me the Quattro is ...

Re: cleaning

I get mine from Amazon, but medical supply co's should have it as well. I have not found it in any normal drug stores or supermarkets though.

It's mainly used to clean hoses/masks between patients, and my be overkill for a single-user at home, but it's not too expensive so I went for it.

Re: cleaning

I use a CPAP cleaning wipe daily on the mask, and allow the tank to dry completely. Every week or so I soak all the gear in Control II CPAP cleaning solution and hot water, as per the directions on the label. The daily wipes keep dirt and oil under control, and the regular disinfection keeps the bac...
