Re: Encore Recommendation
You've been absent from the forum for a little while. Basic was released late spring 2012 right after the 60 series machines were released. I've wandered through a few times since then, but definitely haven't participated enough to keep up with all the developments. I'm glad they released a version...

Lol. . . must be the difference in living south of the border. this is a toque: http://ocanadagear.com/graphics/toque-foldrim-oc-red1.jpg and this is a toboggan: http://cache.lionbrand.com/stores/lionbrand/pictures/klw-knitcapa.jpg Seems to be they are very similar. Difference between a torch and a...

Re: S9 autoset light comes on in middle of night
The message was "Humidifier enabled". It comes up every few seconds. Also, the warm up feature does not work. I press the button for 3 seconds, the warm up comes on, goes right off and the menu cycles through humidifier and ramp. Water does not heat in any mode. I have re-seated several times. I be...

Re: Encore Recommendation
I don't remember reading about Basic when I was researching machines and software two years ago, but it sounds much better than the bloated pig version.

Re: Encore Recommendation
Don't bother with Encore Viewer. It's designed not to confuse you with views of your data, because you couldn't possibly understand that. Pro will give you a good look at things, but as it's intended to manage a database of thousands of CPAP patients, it's a bit heavier than it needs to be for our p...

Re: What exactly am I supposed to feel if anything
CPAP increases pressure very slightly. It doesn't increase volume at all. I am not an engineer, but if I recall correctly from my physics classes (more than a couple of years ago), you do have a slight increase in volume to go with the pressure unless you reduce the diameter of the pipe? However, y...

Re: What exactly am I supposed to feel if anything
I used the smaller nasal pillows last night and had no air leakage at all. The only air I felt came from the hose vents. My question is this. Am I supposed to feel air being pushed into my lungs or am I supposed to just breathe normally and not feel anything. If I'm not feeling anything is the cpap...

Re: Sleepy Head Question
I am going to find the files and put them on another drive, then see if I can import into a non-password protected profile. Thanks to everyone for your help Also try just putting the files where they would be imported to. The SH data files aren't the same as the machine data files and so the import...

Re: How often does ResMed update machines?
The way big business designs equipment these days, you don't want a brand new design unless there's some great new feature. Wait for version 1.1 or some such to get the bugs out. I agree. And since ResMed's firmware tends to be buggy and they refuse to distribute upgrades, you don't want the first ...

Re: New CPAP user needs some help
Hi everyone, I am a new CPAP user. I have been on my machine for a week and I need some insight from you all. My readings seem to be all over the place. Only one night where my AHI is under 5. Is this normal? I do feel much better but what kind of things can I do to help the process? One last thing...

Re: At Home Sleep Apnea Test
The following is my experience with the 1800cpap home test last year. The unit included a belt around the chest for respiration and a finger sensor, presumably for pulse and oxygen saturation. Were there any EEG sensors? If so, how many and how did they attach? A couple of weeks after I sent it bac...

Re: At Home Sleep Apnea Test
Too bad the kit is a rental. At that price I'd get one if I could keep the equipment. I think home testing has huge advantages over lab testing. You're not going to sleep every night in the lab, after all. Many people don't sleep deeply enough in a strange bed with strangers watching them for their ...

Re: Still waking, brain fog, please check my charts
Your events seem to be extremely regular. I haven't looked at much Intellipap data; is the periodicity of your events an artifact of the way DeVilbiss reports them? If not, it may be an important clue.

Re: Oldest Equipment Contest
Great idea. I suggest separate categories for oldest operational machine and oldest machine in daily use. Having a museum piece is one thing, driving it to work every day is another.
