Re: Clock on DeVilbiss IntelliPAP
Julie,
The clock doesn't change for daylight savings and is 10 - 12 minutes fast. I don't have a manual that tells me how to do anything with the clock. (Love the cat.)

Oxygen and APAP
I've been using supplemental oxygen overnight for 30 days now. The impact on my AHI has been dramatic. I went from an average of 3.8 to 2.0 with only one reading over 3.0. I was very surprised at the impact oxygen had on my numbers. I've never had more than 18 days with my AHI less than 5.0 since Fe...

Oxygen and APAP: questions about connections
Does it matter if oxygen is bled-in at the mask or the apap?
Do I need a one-way valve between the apap and bleed in adapter?
Do I need a mask that has oxygen connectors? (I really like my Swift FX and don't want to go back to an Ultra Mirage.)

I want to thank you all for your input. Everything helped. I'll be posting a new string asking more specific questions.

Need input about oxygen with CPAP
My PCP is considering putting me on supplemental oxygen therapy with my cpap. This is new to me. I'd like to hear from others using oxygen with CPAP about their experiences. I'm not sure I want to do this. I hate dealing with DMEs.

Oxygen in addition to CPAP
I'm looking for a portable oxygen concentrator that will work with my CPAP. I don't want to use tanks or a heavy, noisy home unit. Your help will be appreciated.

Re: Intellipap Auto Adjust with Humidifier
I like my Intellipap Auto. After being forced to use obsolete ResMed and Risperonics stuff, I wanted a change. This time I told my new DME what I wanted and they ordered it for me. Been using it for 10 months and have no regrets.

Re: Asthma/COPD meds
I have COPD and take spiriva and singulair. I have had no bad effects from either. My wheezing is more related to my COPD than the drugs. It might be smart to ask your doc though. Everyone reacts differently to medication.

Re: POLL: COPD and exhale relief question
I forgot to put this link on my last response. It's Medico-babble, but is the only thing I could find that discusses the overlap of OSA and COPD. http://www.rcjournal.com/contents/10.10/10.10.1333.pdf

Re: POLL: COPD and exhale relief question
I have COPD and Type 2 Diabetes. I started using a data capable flex machine in February. To date, I have not been able to derive any benefit from EPR and I have tried several combinations. Right now, my EPR is off as well as the heater on my humidifier. Last night my AHI was 2.5 My Rx pressure is 8...

OSA and COPD: The Overlap Syndrome
I found an article at http://www.rcjournal.com/contents/10.10/10.10.1333.pdf that gives a lot of information on this subject. It still doesn't answer all my questions but it is the best info I've found so far. If there is anyone else out there with COPD you might find this informative. If you know o...

Re: Tips/Advice for us COPD folks
Thanks for your replies. My AHI consists of Hypopneas. I haven't logged an apnea since June. I've also experimented with humidifier settings from off to 2 but I don't have enough data on that yet. It seems the less humidity the better. Here are my monthly AHI's: March 2.3; April 3.1; May 2.9; June 3...
