I have gone completely 'round the bend'
I love this Swift FX for her so much I want to wear it all the time. I breathe so much better with it on. And who would have thunk I could actually keep my trap shut all night without losing air. I'm just blown away. The old timers were correct, you have to get the right mask.

I have found my mask
It's the Swift FX for Her. I'm averaging a leak rate between 0 and .16 and have not had to use the chin strap yet. My only complaint is the exhaust freezing my arms. I expect to have that solved by getting a friend to sew me some arm warmers. I am very pleased.

Re: New mask to try tonight--Quattro FX
FX was the first mask I tried. I couldn't keep it from sliding up my face. I would wake up with the bottom of the mask in my mouth. Good luck.

New mask
I just got the Swift FX for her mask and I love it. My leak rates are acceptable. The freedom to read in bed is wonderful, even if I don't do it that much. I also got a chinstrap, but haven't had to use it so far. The cat wants to know why I'm humming at her though. lol

Re: Finally using bipap all the time
I haven't had this problem... I only have to shift the mask around a bit when i turn overCatherineF wrote:dusty0318 I would like to ask you, because I see that you are using quattro mask. Isn't this a problem that this mask jumps on your face each inhale/exhale with changing pressure?

Finally using bipap all the time
It has taken months, but I am finally able to use the bipap machine each time I lay down to sleep. Even my afternoon naps. Now it feels funny if I don't put it on. I had an asthma flare-up last week and had to go to the ER. This resulted in my returning to my family doc for a nebulizer. The respirat...

Re: Leak rate of 0.02L/sec and AHI of 4.4
Very good numbers for me. The new mask is working out even if it's rubbing my nose. I've tried the Quattro fitting guide but all I get are leaks. So I am wearing it a bit tight. I have cranked the forehead knob as far as I can without getting a leak. Congrats. What were your AHI and leak rate with ...

My sleep nurse told me not to use a liner.JohnBFisher wrote:Consider getting a Mask Liner for your mask. You can look at http://www.remzzzzs.com and http://www.padacheeck.com for more information. Additionally, if you have problems with leaks, they also help reduce that issue.

Re: I can't fall asleep!
I've been using the cpap for the last 2 nights...without success. I lay in bed from 10:30 til about 2:30am before finally taking the mask off and sleeping w/o the machine. I'm just having a really hard time adjusting. I'm wondering if I should ask my doctor for some Ambien to help me fall asleep. I...

Breaking out.... suggestions please?
I'm breaking out where the mask touches the bridge of my nose and along my chin where it sits. I clean my face with Proactiv but it isn't controlling the breakouts. I wash the mask in baby shampoo. Thoughts are welcomed.

Thank you Karen PadACheek
Thanks for the fast delivery. The forehead pad was welcomed on a hot muggy night. The neck straps were easy to put on and I no longer get marks when I lay on my side.

My papers said treadmill. Ugh.
