Resmed DC converters

Anybody know if there is an adapter made to allow a Resmed DC converter for an S9 to be used on an Airsense 10? Or vice versa? I have both machines and want the opportunity to choose between them for RV and travel use. I usually travel with the older S9 and use the A10 at home but would like to be a...

Re: Magic Sleep Number

My sleep quality, after going on CPAP 8-10 years ago has been excellent — enough so that I let my body tell me what to do. Pretty much I sleep what my body tells me it needs — runs between 5 and 7 or 8 hours usually. I fall asleep quickly (minutes) and wake up (usually but not always) about every 3 ...

CPAP vs APAP & should I change?

Background: Diagnosed about 7-8 years ago w/ severe apnea (in-clinic sleep study AHI>90, O2 desat low 60’s). Went on CPAP straight 12cm with excellent results — symptoms gone, AHI routinely between 1 & 2 and usually under 1. Have been 100% compliant from day 1. Now to today: About a month ago replac...

Any other changes?
Particularly med changes?
Many meds can, and do, affect BG measurements.

Re: Hospital respiratory folks: you gotta love 'em

Gotta love a good hospital, and a good RT. Had to have a valve replaced (a hereditary issue), as a part of pre-op preps a RT came in and went through my setup with my wife. The kicker — after surgery, just before I left ICU for a regular room the RT came back to talk to me about where I got my hose ...

Re: Traveling with CPAP

You are within your rights, and I’ve NEVER had them refuse in a dozen or so flights, to request they put on new clean gloves BEFORE touching your machine. In many cases the response has been “we are not going to touch it” and they just peer into the bag and send it through. In a couple others they g...

Re: Any Suggestions on a new mask for me?

Ever try a SleepWeaver? It’ll either work for you or it won’t, no real fiddling to make it work. If it does work you’ll likely not find a more comfortable (or forgiving) mask - especially for an active sleeper. Been using them for about 8 years now. Of course, being somewhat allergic to silicon does...

Re: Airfit/Airtouch questions

Thanks!

So, do both medium and large F20 cushions fit on the same frame? So if I go medium and need large (or vice versa) is it same frame - just a cushion replacement? Or do I have to start over again?

Airfit/Airtouch questions

Not been here in ages. Therapy doing great. New Machine (Airsense 10 Auto) on order. Machine research is what brought me back to this magnificent place of knowledge.... And since I’m back I’ve naturally been poking around a bit. Still a magnificent place!! I have issues with silicone (probably aller...

Re: How NOT to wash SleepWeaver Advance Cpap Mask

First Kudos to Circadiance -- sounds like they might be stepping up to the plate with your issue. Second, apparently, if what you say is true, Johnson's Head to Toe Baby Wash isn't considered a baby shampoo. That is all I've ever used to wash my SW's and I've got one mask that is over a year and a h...

Re: SleepWeaver Advance vs. Elan

I guess I'm like Goldilocks -- Elan big -- too big!, Elan small -- too small!, Advance - just right!!! With the Advanced I suffer no leaks -- my top tether is extremely loose -- I can put my whole hand under it. I pull the lower straps way down low on the back of my neck -- not the back of my head -...
