Re: An awesome day!

Brothermike I remember being there. Just last week I was very frustrated and then it just happened. Don't ever give up. Like Sheriff just said, the benifits far outway the problems. My doctor says I will have more and more improvements in my physical health over 6 months or so. Hang in there and com...

Re: Uvula

my uvula has been enlarged with sinus infections. If you have red or raw throat or tonsilles, you might need to consider that. I have had mine swollen so large it choked me too, but with proper meds for my sinuses..infections or irratations it would go back down. I have read all the thread and now k...

( which caused me some trouble comming off so fast) I worked my two 12 hour shifts.. then my first day off I felt good. wow...

Re: Arthritis symptoms fixed by CPAP/BIPAP/ASV therapy?

I have suffered with arthritis since I was 25. I was told I had it in every joint of my body. It wasn't so bad at first.. I ignored it. I am 48 and my back. feet but espeically my hips were killing me. I have noticed within a few weeks of therapy I too had less pain. for the last two days now I have...

Re: fluid in ears

Kcarlee, I have had the same problem with fluid behind my ears. I am taking norell SR a rx. It is getting a little better. I also will try some mucinex (OTC) to losen congestion from sinus problems which is suggested by my pcp. I am going to ENT on the 29th to discuss this with him. I will let you k...

energy can my body keep up with my brain?

It seems my brain has a lot of energy now, but physically I can't keep up YET. Anyone else feel this way? I started a new job where I will be a lot more physically active and my muscles are sore all over. I am determined to become healthier since I have found what has had me feeling so bad. Probably...

Re: Help.. with apap i am snoring again what to do?

Pugsy, as far as the pressure range, it was just out of my head. I just can't imagine being able to fall asleep with a presure less than 10. I was reading on the S9. I think I really need the EPR feature. I sleep so good with my nasal mask, but if my nares are the least bit stuffy I find it so hard...

Re: Help.. with apap i am snoring again what to do?

While the OP here has a CPAP pressure of 15 and is wanting to try the auto with a starting pressure of 10, she may have some specific reasons for wanting to try it. Her DME and physician have let her try the APAP that is why she has 2 machines in her possession right now. Before everyone starts tel...

Re: Help.. with apap i am snoring again what to do?

I'm a bit confused as most machine's have the lowest pressure setting at 4, so I'm not sure what you are reading as 3 is correct (perhaps it is on the F&P). In any case, if your normal CPAP pressure is 15, then "wide open" will NOT work for you--it's no wonder you feel like you are suffocating! You...

Re: Help.. with apap i am snoring again what to do?

There are a few machines that do go as low as 3cm even though the standard is 4-20 range. I would keep the auto machine as its a better machine in that it is capable of both modes should your needs change ( and they will eventually ). I do fear that this will be the case and that I will need the ap...

Re: Help.. with apap i am snoring again what to do?

If your CPAP is SUPPOSED to be 15, then you should consider setting the APAP for 14 to 18, IF 15 is your "optimal" pressure. 10 is too low if 15 is the pressure you are supposed to have, and you will invite your airway to close if you start on 10, and possibly still snore too. 3 is ridiculous, whoe...
