Re: HELP. My SD card has permanently LOCKED
Some S9 machines will only work with low capacity SD cards. If you put a new 4 GB card in the machine it may not work. It depends on the hardware/firmware of the machine. 2GB cards are hard to find but it can be done.

Re: Do You Eat Gluten-Free?
yes, I know about no beer. By legal definition if something is sold as beer in the US, without disclaimers and without a list of ingredients, it must have a least one of the things that contain gluten in it. these rules were set down before they really knew what gluten was but its in the regulations...

Re: Do You Eat Gluten-Free?
I am allergic to wheat. (it makes my feet itch and I have been tested positive) My understanding of the FDA rules are basically as follows: If it says gluten free or equivalent: it must have less than 20 PPM of gluten. Generally this means no wheat ingredients and no contamination allowed. Some comp...

Re: Any hybrid mask (or glasses wearing) users w/ high pressure?
Both of the full face masks I have used and liked have worked fine with glasses. With my current mask I can even take them off without loosing the seal. (you have to think a little bit but I can do it). In this photo it looks like the seal is riding on the glasses near the bridge of the nose. They d...

Re: Pissed off scared and depressed
If you are snoring and still able to sleep but your partner is having problems sleeping, it means that you are getting so tired that you are able to sleep with the loud noise in your body next to your ears.
It has to be louder for you than your partner!

list of data BIPAPS
I see the list of general CPAP/APAP machines. Is there a list of BIPAP machines which do and do not collect efficacy data? Can I assume all new ones collect that data?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: They now say I need a BIPAP (somewhat long)
none of the studies I have seen so far were well done. Most suggested more studies. When you were working second shift and they only let you start as late as 10:30 that is just wrong. They wind up waking you up and kicking you out about three hours after you normally go to bed. Then they say you hav...

Re: Drying out the hose on my new AutoPAP.
In order to keep myself from pulling the machine off in the middle of the night I bought some Velcro strips and attached some to the bottom of the machine and some to the top of my nightstand. If you are worried about messing up the top of the nightstand, get a heavy cutting board te set on top of t...

Re: They now say I need a BIPAP (somewhat long)
I am skeptical that I need the change. I did change my a-flex setting this morning from 2 up to 3 to see if I can detect the change. I don't think my pulmonologist has seen it yet, I think the reading was done by someone on the staff of the sleep center. That is how it was done the last time.

They now say I need a BIPAP (somewhat long)
Insurance changed about 9 months ago so I had to start the whole process over so that I would get my supplies covered by insurance. I have been on APAP since February 2010. most of that time the pressure has been set to 7-12 auto. recently I changed it to 8-12 which reduced my AHI per the machine di...

Re: Whoppers I have been told from DME, techs, etc
Equipment makers know a lot more than they "can" tell you. Many DME want to protect the profit god at all costs. Equipment companies know that if they tell you how to set up a machine, change the options, or some other information, the DME may get pissed off. DME's who think they have all the need f...

Re: Gluten-Free Nonsense
I am allergic to wheat. When I order at a restaurant I have to tell them that I can't have wheat. Then I tell them it makes me itch. Otherwise they think I am just a fad dieter. They still get it wrong a great deal of the time. They also don't seem to trust what I tell them. I get questions like can...

Re: Distilled water is just broke(help pls...)
Whatever water you put in your tank is distilled by the time you breathe it. Note: some volatile liquids are not separated out by distillation. that is why some alcoholic beverages are careful about what base grain (or other sugar supply) they ferment when starting the process. if you start with a m...

Re: Help! - Need to get old data onto new computer
if the old machine will boot and keep running when it does finally boot up. there are free programs such as windows easy transfer which will seamlessly transfer everything to your new windows computer except for computer programs. (all the settings are moved though) Must have windows xp service pack...
