Re: CPAP vs APAP vs BiPAP (poll)

Thanks for the answer!

What kind of issue's would point to a pressure problem?

And... is there a minimum pressure... where the insurance might say "this person doesn't need CPAP/APAP"?

Thanks!

Re: CPAP vs APAP vs BiPAP (poll)

Why would your doctor get you a APAP capable machine and leave it in CPAP mode?

Thanks

Re: Soft Palate - Reduce / Shrink ?

You state that you think your soft palate is the problem but you are just guessing and could be badly wrong. I appreciate the concern about rushing into surgery. I'm not anxious to do that, but the soft pallet observation is just that... an observation. It's not a guess. Anyway, I'll continue to lo...

Re: Soft Palate - Reduce / Shrink ?

I would imagine that this is a pretty common problem. I thought this would be a good site to hear about peoples experiences. I haven't found much on this issue yet though.

I'm curious, what causes the problem in the first place?

Soft Palate - Reduce / Shrink ?

What can be done to reduce the soft palate? I think that's my main problem. I started to notice it in my mid thirties. It seemed like it was gradually getting bigger or creeping into the roof of my mouth. What causes this? I've read of people doing some pretty radical things. I'm not in favor of rem...

Re: Air In The Stomach?

Thanks to everyone for there responses! After 2 or 3 nights of that inflated feeling... I quit using my machine and I emailed the sleep center I was going to. I had been having good success, averaging over 6 hours a night for about a month and a half. I did not foresee any problems. After reading pe...

Air In The Stomach?

I just started CPAP last November. I'm pretty new to this.

The other night I woke up and my stomach seemed like it was blowing up like a balloon!

Is this my imagination? (maybe it's the holidays)
Is this common? Seems like it could be a serious problem.

Thanks!

Re: Improved(?) PR 1 Filters

What is the difference between 1035442 and 1029331? I am new at this. I just started using CPAP about 6 weeks ago and I need to figure out where I want to get my supplies. The package my white filter came in has the number 1035442. I found 1029331 and it looks identical. I just want to make sure I g...
