Re: Doctor Spreading Dangerous Misinformation in Richmond, VA?

Hmmmm. Reggie White, ..... http://autoimmunityresearch.org/autopsy.gif So Reggie could not have used an Autoset CPAP because of: AutoSet algorithm would not increase pressure in response to apneas beyond 10 cm H2O. While this prevents the device from “running away” it is not ideal as obstructive ap...

Re: Resmed's Central Sleep Apnea Detection - Resmed publication

[quote="feeling_better"]Ozij, Laurle, such propitiatory papers are the earlier steps before peer review publications. Re: Air In The Stomach?

I just started CPAP last November. I'm pretty new to this. The other night I woke up and my stomach seemed like it was blowing up like a balloon! Is this my imagination? (maybe it's the holidays) Is this common? Seems like it could be a serious problem. Thanks! Aerophagia, is a big issue while CPAP...

As I understand it, the PR System One REMstar Pro CPAP Machine with C-Flex Plus, does not have an Oximetry data transfer while the S9 AutoSet does. Does the CMS50 E have an output cable to plug into CPAPs?

Re: Help Interepreting my first Results?

Hi, your results are similar to my. I started CPAP 7 weeks ago. Before CPAPing I had AHI of around 50. Afterwards it dropped to around 3. I am also at 6 cmH2O, but I think that it should be raised (to 8?) b/c I am a bit dizzy during the day. A mandible procedure costs in my town about $2,000. After ...

Re: Study Links Aerophagia and GERD for CPAP Users

Thanks for sharing that link, avi123. I would be more interested in the reverse: if those who already have GERDs would be more susceptible to increased aerophagia. I agree the reverse would be useful. Why do you consider the reverse to be more interesting/useful? I think that I got my answer in thi...

Re: Quality of S9 equipment

I don't know how many consumer products you have tried to repair, but I can tell you from experience it's often almost impossible to open up the device, let alone remove and replace parts, if you can even find the parts which a big share of the time don't exist. Sad state of affairs, I'll be the fi...

Re: Quality of S9 equipment

bob cortez, I am glad that you got the S9 AutoSet which seems to be a fine CPAP. I would not pay much attention to the plastic and acrylic parts b/c they should be easy and cheap to replace. Thanks for the suggestion to buy RMD stock. Have you seen its 10 years performance: http://finance.yahoo.com/...

Re: Quality of S9 equipment

I like Resmed as a company. So what if some of its products are made of plastic and acrylic? The important issues are Resmed's allocations to research and the technological innovations in its products. Some info about Resmed as a company, from the financial media: " ResMed remains one of the key lea...
