Re: Zeo for two? How to?

I recall reading on the Zeo website that the user account is linked to the actual device by serial number. If another person is going to be using it then you need to contact Zeo and have them make the switch for you. They certainly set things up assuming one zeo, one person. There would be ways that...

Re: Newly diagnosed and confused (Canada)

There should be a newer version of this document but the one from 2010 should be helpful for those in Ontario. It does show what they allow "cover" for the various company's equipment. http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/pro/programs/adp/information_technology/docs/respiratory_devices_manual.pdf This gui...

Re: Zeo: Where did My Data Go?

Although I use the Zeo Bedside, my wife does have the mobile unit. At least once I noted that she had no data showing for the previous night. The headband seems to be capable of storing the data for a night, a definite advantage to the bedside on this note. I can't recall the exact process for forci...

Re: Ping.. Lazy SleepyHead Programmer is still alive.

Good to hear from you and even with a few issues SleepyHead is VERY useable. No need to apologize for what life (and all that rhymes with it) throw at you, that needs to be top priority. As if life does not throw enough curves, this whole sleep deprivation thing takes an additional toll and makes th...

Re: how to cool down when waking up sweating

I recently purchased a mattress cover made with CoolMax. I am waiting for a rather hot night and see how it goes to know for sure but so far things seem cooler.

FedEx International Priority is supposed to have brokerage fees included, other methods will have additional brokerage or clearing fees added, often invoiced later.

Re: Torso position determined via accelerometer!

Yes, BDG, I would say for me this accelerometer information is as important as the data from my Zeo, maybe more so. Below is a shot of my events, mask pressure and my positions, with "on my back" noted by the high red line on the accel graph at the bottom, inside the blue boxes. Being on my back ex...

Re: Update: Re: "Daytime Sleepiness"

Congrats, glad to see you are making progress and doing better. As for EPR, that is simply for patient "comfort" but I have seen a cause-effect where for me if I increase EPR I see a corresponding increase in pressure needed to control events, and more events. I finally settled on an EPR of 1 but ha...

Re: Strange Corelation Between Fitness and Machine Pressure

Sleep position may also affect your numbers. For many sleeping on your back will usually result in more obstruction than sleeping on your side. Now that you are more active and feeling better you may be moving around more during your sleep also. I know this is one of the changes I have seen. When I ...

Re: Torso position determined via accelerometer!

I am part way through PCB layout Would you care to share any details? Which accelerometer, sample rate, microcontroller? A cost estimate? Is the body temperature sensor integrated? Have you checked out the MSR line? The MSR145 at 20 x 15 x 52 mm approx. 16 g looked pretty sweet but at $272 seemed l...

Re: Torso position determined via accelerometer!

I did some research and there is enough prior art and public information that unless it is very specific these devices and concepts are not patentable and are unlikely to infringe on any existing patents.
There are already numerous examples of devices already on the market doing this.

I did do some research into herbal options ... Most every night I have a cup of Tulsi tea. ... You might give it a try for a week, 1 cup each evening before bed. Might help... who knows! I've tried the Tulsi tea each night but don't see any noticeable difference. I don't think it did any harm thoug...

Re: Torso position determined via accelerometer!

Good job on what you've done. I can see there are a few people that want to know their body position. I am part way through PCB layout for a small re-chargeable wearable unit with both a 3 axis accelerometer and temperature measurement which I hope to have built and working in prototype form by mid ...

Re: 510 days later ... CPAP is only part of the solution

Most every night I have a cup of Tulsi tea. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocimum_tenuiflorum Read the Pharmacology section. It is considered a stress reducer. Whether it helps me, I'm not entirely sure, but my thinking is it does, mildly. If you can't find it in stores, you can get it from Amazon, g...
