Re: New CPAP user - Longest night I've been able to keep it on

Everyone is different! For me if my pressure goes below 6 I feel like I am suffocating. I would arbitrarily set the pressure for a newb at 6 to 12 with no ramp and no EPR and see how that works after a few days. Then you can look at OSCAR or post here for feedback. I find it is a good place to start...

Re: AirCurve 10 water tank replacement

It almost sounds like you got a water Tank for an Airsense 11 which is smaller and very different from the AS 10. I am surprised it even goes into the Aircurve 10. I have been using the Aircurve 10 for over 5 years and have acquired water tanks from CPAP.com and Crapria and others. I have never had ...

P30i Mask Pillows

I know Medicare allows for new pillows every 2 weeks.

My question is in real life how often do those of you who actually use the P30i change your pillows?

Re: Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV with 9600hrs

I recently bought a used Aircurve 10 ASV From someone on this forum. It had 700 hours on it. I paid $750. A machine with 9600 hours is probably good for another 2 or 3 years and the price of $350 reflects that. So I would call it a coin flip. I prefer a machine with lower hours, so I paid a bit more...

Pugsy, an exception to your comment.
The N30i and the P30i use exactly the same headgear and frame and have interchangeable nasal interface,

Re: is there a more flexible hose for the Air Sense 11 ?

There is a third choice. SleepWeaver Feather Weight Tube, that I have been using for years. It is 18" long and attaches between the heated hose and the mask. It is intended for use with the Sleepweaver cloth masks, but works great with any mask that does not come with a similar hose. They are availa...

Oscar with 2 users

Since my wife started using PAP I created a profile for her as well as mine. Last time I downloaded my data, Oscar said there was no data after Dec 26 2023 Which is when she got her machine. What can I do now, to straighten this all out and bring both data files up to date? I do lock the cards befor...

Re: Put it in the landfill??

In the US I don't believe you are allowed to put it in a land fill.
You are required to give it to an electronics recycler, and they may charge you to take it. I know I have several dead microwave ovens and I think they want to charge me $10 each to take them off my hands.

Re: New Article: New concerns

Unlike Chunkyfrog I have owned and used a Resperonics ASV machine for almost 5 years/15,000 hours. When I contacted Philips I was told my machine was NOT affected by the recall. I stopped using it 5 years ago, long before I heard anything about a recall. I had a second machine that belonged to my br...

First 2 Weeks on APAP

My wife Barbara has just completed her first 2 Weeks on PAP therapy. She has had only 3 days with AHI above 1.0, 1.42 was her worst score. She does complain about why it was so bad. She keeps asking me why everyone says it is so difficult to get used to PAP. I am curious what the typical amount DMEs...

Re: Husband says CPAP is scary and unattractive...

I have been experiencing the opposite siituation. I have been using PAP therapy for 13 years after being diagnosed with an untreated AHI of 83. I noticed several years ago that my wife had several clear symptoms of sleep apnea. She would vehemently refuse to even discuss taking a test. So recently s...

Re: Choosing a mask

Well, my wife Barbara finished her second night on PAP therapy. I guess she did OK for a beginner. AHI 0.28 Now if we can get her large leaks under control we will be in business. She is using a P30i mask, which is obviously working pretty well. However she had a couple instances of a stuffed nose l...

Re: Choosing a mask

So - a question for those who have been on CPAP for a long time - do you typically have a good ongoing relationship with your sleep doctor / sleep clinic, and are they the source of advice, recommendations, and trials for new masks/cushions? I'm thinking that new mask designs come out from time to t...

Leatherneck232

I have recently noticed a similar problem. I simply move on with my day and deal with it.
Until reading your post I had not given it much thought.

I suspect it may be more of an issue when I sleep on my back instead of my left side.

Re: Choosing a mask

When we picked up my wife's machine yesterday no one asked for any money. Insurance is supposed to pay. When I bought my ASV a couple months ago, I bought it used from another member here and paid him with ZELLE. In the past when Crapria has asked for a credit card I have always told them NO. That I...
