Re: Can someone tell me if I should increase my pressure?

Yep Pugsy, did miss your "I see no reason to change anything" comment - So my aplogies. But, based solely on the logic as stated in your reply to me I guess I'd be inclined to bump the higher pressure a point or so. I say that because my pressures tend to vary over the days, weeks, months. So having...

Re: S9 Autoset sleep report incorrect display

If your machine has a problem incrementing the day/time counters then you wouldn't need to go to the clinical menu to find it, if I'm not mistaken the time used should show on the summary screen.

So what happened last night?

Re: Camping with Resmed S9

I recall doing a bit of research a year or so ago on using my S9 with a 12V Deep Cycle battery and coming to the the conclusion that I needed a bit more than just a battery-- a converter maybe??? I also recall forming the opinion that if I needed emergency backup, or for camping use, it would be eas...

Re: Can someone tell me if I should increase my pressure?

What is interesting is that the recommended origninal settings on my S9, as received 18 months ago, were inconsistent with the settings noted above. No doubt opinions differ. If the machine doesn't ever go near the maximum setting (whatever it is) it doesn't really matter what the maximum setting i...

Re: I am ashamed of my cpap?

Wow... Awesome thread!

For me one of the "side" benefits that came from CPAP therapy was that my wife quit sleeping on the couch and came back into the bed. It was a great day!

Re: Can someone tell me if I should increase my pressure?

I found this post interesting.... Because, when I first got my S9 from the DME (Oct 2010) they left the machine at full range with maximum pressure (25 I think?). I asked about leaving the machine at max pressure. Their comment was that they thought it best to let the machine find the right pressure...

Re: S9 Autoset Data Was Reset and is Not Updating

Rebooting after a long wait (approximately 1 hr) solved the problem. Bur for future reference for those who may have the same problem, unplugging for a few seconds is not apparently enough time to prompt a reboot - because that did not work. Also, just want to add that I checked the memory card. It'...

Re: S9 Autoset Data Was Reset and is Not Updating

It shows the same stats regardless of the time period selected - 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 1 year.

I will try to unplug, let it sit for a while, then plug in to reboot....

S9 Autoset Data Was Reset and is Not Updating

I just yesterday noticed the usage display on my S9 has reset to 1/1 - compliance of 1 day out of 1 days. Days used for >4 hours is showing 0/1 with the last usage at 2 hrs and 36 minutes. Both of these values are wrong. The stats also seem to be locked in at the same value. Usage of the machine has...

Re: Autoset to replace Elite

I question your decision to replace the the Elite with the AuotSet . I could have asked for the AutoSet but decided to go for the Elite (under Medicare I don't pay extra for any) b/c: 1) The AutoSet is a dangerous machine if you run it in the APAP mode. Not only that you could goof by setting press...

Re: New and Frustrated

From what you said, I too would be looking to find a new doctor. I am fortunate that my ENT has no issue with me making beneficial APAP setting adjustments to maximize my results. The link to your machine shows it to be capable of providing the information you are looking for. You may have to do a b...

Re: Surgery for Sleep Apnea

Most interesting. I'm surprised by the high success percentages... Six years ago my ENT gave the UPPP probability of success at 5%. Needless to say, I did not go this route. Since that time, information like the above postings have kept me thinking that I made the right decision. So it has been a CP...

Re: S9 users: Do you prefer Autopap or CPAP mode?

I used my first CPAP machine for 68 months and then upgraded to an APAP. My first thoughs then, and current thoughts now are - WOW, what a great improvement. In addition, the charts clearly indicate (at least to me) a benefit to having the ever-changing pressure throughout the night. I've also latel...
