Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
So they did not require you to send the "evidence" machine back to get the replacements? Interesting. There's a note in there about possibly being billed if the old ones are not returned. I guess they'll be more on top of billing people like any other medical provider. I don’t see what Philips coul...

Re: Respironics replacement - is it really necessary to return.
Way back when I filled out the online request for a replacement for my recalled DS1 I think there was a clause in there somewhere that by application for and receipt of the replacement I agreed to return the the recalled machine when the replacement was received. Not sure if this legally binds you ...

Respironics replacement - is it really necessary to return.
I am about to get a refurb 2nd machine from Respironics- yet another filthy DS-1 refurb from Philips. That would be 2 replacement refurbs for what were 2 new machines. I don’t trust Philips worth a damn and just want this pathetic recall over. Does Philips really want the original machine back - or ...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
Appears to be a lot of confusion with a second Philips recall of some refurbished machines with the press sometimes claiming these were CPAPs. Checked the actual FDA notification and these were all ventilators that were part of the recall. Bits of old foam were left in and there were adhesion probl...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
Yup, “Recertified”. Philips should not be sending out refurbished machines unless they have them literally sterilized and certified as such. In my case (with) leukemia), I’m incredibly immunosuppressed. I still have to wear N95 masks for Covid when going anywhere. Also, they’ve had problems with som...

Re: More crap!! -- Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
What crap! I finally received my "remediating" machine today (well, one of two). It was a Refurb DS-1 without the humidifier. It came with instructions on how to change a modem from my old device. Boy is Philips cheap! I waited a year and 1/2 +++ for this junk, and I get a refurb for a machine that ...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I have gone back and forth with Philips - it’s just not worth it anymore. Finally they say they will replace two DS1’s with default settings. Then yesterday I got a call from someone wanting me to confirm these requests AGAIN at the patient portal. The rep did not know my address or e-mail — even th...

Re: Phillips Respironics DS1 Test Results are in
some companies have been known to deny problems and issues or cover them up and mitigate quietly in the background. Let those harmed argue and attempt to prove in Court but deny you have a problem even if you lose in court. This sadly may be a situation where Philips tried to do the right thing but...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I have been using a Resmed Autoset 10 as i wait for the replacement of my system one 560 that I had purchased from Cpap.com several years ago. Unfortunately My Autoset 10 is now over 5 years old and shutting itself off and restarting during the night. I have Auto off is disabled so something is wro...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
After 75 pages of grief, I think we can conclude that RESPIRONICS DOES NOT CARE. They used to make a couple of nice masks, though--both discontinued. Bravo! Yes. How true. I can also say that I would wager that Philips Respironics “sleep division” — or whatever they want to call it will be ...

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
It really annoys me that Philips is getting all fascist about prescriptions, etc. I bet they have cut 50% of people out of the recall that way. Some prescriptions are lifetime — some are 10 years — but Philips (I believe) wants them no longer than 2 years old. So what does someone with a lifetime Rx...

Purchased a Resmed Autoset 10 and wasn’t given “provider guide.”
Sorry, I’ve been using Respironics machines for over 12 years and I can program them in my sleep. But I finally gave upon that company and bought a Resmed Autoset 10. Unfortunately the instructions as how to put it in programming mode are not included. As a result, I can’t even set my pressure range...

Re: Philips Attempting to Avoid Replacement of Recalled Older System One CPAPs
I have had it with Phillips. I wouldn’t buy anything from any Phillips company after this. I had 3 - System 1 auto 60’s and two - DS-1’s (never used). I registered the 2 DS-1’s for “remediation and Philips would only accept one. What can I say - I like back up machines! But frankly I have never been...

Re: Back after a while away .. need help with software.
Hmm. Thanks. I thought that when SDHC (and others) cards came out, camera makers said to use an SHHC reader, not an SD reader. I must have made a mistake. I will try it.
