Re: Trekking with Z1 APAP at high altitude 7 nights on battery $875, 5.85 pounds

My Z2 does not run well on 12 volts. Z-Breath does not drop pressure and it stops intermittently.
i found a 12V to 15V converter https://www.powerstream.com/ADC-p006.htm. I purchased the PST-YD100W 100 Watts.
I have an old CP-266 battery (266 Watt Hours) after 2 nights I still have 75% remaining.

Re: Struggling but NOT Giving Up

I've been on CPAP for 8 years at this point.
My shoulders will only let me sleep on my back. My AHI is generally 5 to 6 which my doctor indicates is fine.

I use a C-266 battery http://www.bestcpapprice.com/Compact-Po ... p_516.html
It is just under half discharged after 3 nights.
The Intelipap humidifier does not run on 12 volts. The heated humidifier will more than triple your power requirements.

Re: Nasal Pillows?

I've used nasal pillows for 5 years. I could not manage the leaks with a conventional nasal mask, I find them particularly comfortable. With any nasal mask you need to be able to prevent air from blowing out through your mouth, My sleep doctor does comment that my leak rate is high. I find it does n...

Re: Extension Cord and CPAP in Europe

On my last trip to Europe i brought a travel adapter kit and my 15 foot US extension cord.
Check your CPAP voltage requirements, most specify 120 - 240 volts.

I have one for travel.
Ir is not as sophisticated as my Resmed S9 auto but I think I may sleep a little better with the Intellipap.
You will need the smartlink module to work with Sleepyhead software.

Re: Need advice for flying and carrying CPAP machine

Make sure you have an extension cord and adapters. Often there will not be an outlet you can use right near the bed. I use my US 12 foot extension cord cord on 220 volts in Europe without any trouble. I plug the local adapter into the outlet and plug the extension into that. Bring extra mask parts o...

Re: Camping and Power

I use an OW-12-C266 battery that runs my Intellipap for 3 to 4 nights.
Even thought the humidifier is not heated using 12 volts I find having water in it helps.

Re: Sleepyhead Multiple Machine features

I have been using Sleepyhead with both of my machines.
The reports list both machines. You can tell which machine I was using on which night.
It is interesting to see the different methods Resmed and DeVilbiss use to sense and respond to OSA events.

Re: Traveling Newbie

Bring an extension cord, you may not have a power outlet near the head of the bed.
You should check to see if any adapters are needed. Nearly all XPAP machines will run on 110 - 220 volts.

I took my S9 to Sweden and Finland and only needed the adapter plug.
I also brought a 12 foot extension cord that I needed in 1 hotel.
When I travel I bring an old mask in case I break something on my current one.

I used bottled water and dumped out the chamber every morning.

Have a good trip.

Re: Pressure related CA

You may need to wait them out. When I started CPAP I had a lot of central and hypopnea events. I was really annoyed at my doctor for not thinking they were important. After a few months they faded and now 5 years into CPAP I have only 1 or 2 a week. I think my events were my body getting used to the...

Re: traveling to Europe this summer

I brought a 10 foot extension cord and European adapter kit from Radio Shack. You will need different adapters for England and most of the rest of Europe. Check your power supply to see if the voltage range is 110 - 220 volts. I used regular bottled water and emptied the tank every day. I did not tr...
