Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

IMO, the intent of philips' exchange process was to trap patients
into years longer of dealing with their inferior machines.
The decent thing would have been to recall their damn junk, and giving out cash refunds!
The whole stinking nightmare is appalling!

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

Whether or not there has been success depends on your definition of success.
Any outcome extending ones dependence on a mediocre company is not my idea of success.

Re: Best pillow for side sleeper

I route my hose UP, through a hose management apparatus. This allows me to use a regular pillow. We were given one of those fancy foam pillows with the cutouts, and we both found it completely useless. So glad we did not waste money on it. Even unused, the foam went to hell within a fairly short tim...

Faith, hope, and trust.
Misdirected?
Others have either been fulfilled; or have given up in disgust.
Never having used philips: PRICELESS!

Re: How can I lower AHI?

Just a simple test, you might try raising the minimum pressure from 4 cm. to around 12 cm. (By steps, for patient comfort) [[[The patient's provider failed to set the minimum ipap at all--lazy bozo, IMO.]]] I would leave the max EPAP where it is. Nice thing about APAP is the ability to titrate fairl...

Thank you for sharing details about a flakey machine.
Hopefully others can afford quality machines over cheap ones.
Sorry you are in this rut.

That's right. "Dreamwear not [recommended] for dry-eyes patients. Solutions?" Anyhow, tomorrow I expect to get the goggles I ordered to remedy the condition and will report on my experiences Monday morning if the goggles arrive on time. "Corrective lenses?" :-) Instead of replyingy you can simply e...

I agree that Resmed are superior machines.
I suspect your problems will vanish once you get used to the Airsense;
and you will wonder how you ever tolerated the Respironics.

Such a mask needs to be invented.
Years ago!
Damn it.

Edit: I mean a cpap mask for sufferers of dry eye. (Heck, I'd buy one!)

Epworth Sleepiness Score?
. . .
You can find this quiz online; or your doctor might have hard copies.
It can't hurt to ask.

Look at your averages over the last month, and you will see your sleep time looking realistic.
That is the usage amount your provider will see.
Each early afternoon and the following morning will count as one "night".
Weird, but it adds up.

Re: Nasal Irrigation

Brain eating amoeba, (or Naegleria fowleri,) is the nasty thing.
Your nasal passages come very close to your brain--so be careful what goes up there.
