The ResMed S9 for sure. The AS10 has the guts of the time-tested S9, but is noisier. Twoi DMEs have told me they consider the S9 more reliable.

Ouch.... MyPillow retained too much heat.

I have never been completely happy with a pillow, but I would say I am happier with the "Mypillow" than most I have tried. It seems to support "just right" for a couple weeks then it flattens out and I have to throw it in the dryer on low for 20 minutes and it comes out like new. I don't think you ...

Purchased "MyPillow" from Costco yesterday. Good?

As a side sleeper, I have used a tempurpedic from Brookstone for the past ten years. It was about $150 and has been fine. Purchased the set of two pillows this week and will try it tonight. Two pillows for $70, but one has to buy two of them. They come in several densities and sizes, not obvious by ...

Re: Dry eyes

Before I start looking for an eye mask to sleep in, to block the possible air from my cpap, has anyone tried one they can recommend? I wear an Activa mask, so it does come quite close to my eyes. I've tried all masks/pillows, and the Mirage FX was the clear winner (for me). However, one must change...

Re: Medicare & Machine Replacement?

Hi! Hoping you can help me figure out what I can do to help my dad out in Iowa. He has severe sleep apnea. His cpap machine is 7 years old. A month ago, the machine quit working in the middle of the night. It was frightening to both him and my mom because he started coughing with the full face mask...

Re: Dry eyes

I have chronic dry eyes. Worsening. I like nasal pillows. Using dream mask could be the problem. Anybody try tranquility sleep mask with their unit? Use unit daily for 4 years. Sufficient number of humans without SA and who don't use inhalation therapy have dry eyes that you could simply treat the ...

Re: Outrageous DME/Insurance Billing Practices?

EDIT: It appears I'm late to the party on this "try/buy" stuff. Reading some more in the forums here, seems it's standard. Man, what a friggin racket they've got going here. Preaching to the choir it seems. ----------------------------- After seven years of full compliance with my old CPAP machine,...

Re: Has anyone's bruxism been helped by xPAP?

Benzodiazepenes don't help me. I've tried xanax and I wake up feeling just as bad, if not worse. I've had both the otc and the dentist-made mouthguards and I don't use either one, because they make my teeth feel even more sore and seem to contribute to tooth decay. Not all benzodiazepines act the s...

Re: My Airsense 10 Autoset leaked water

My understanding is that the AirSense 10 has a rubber seal as pert of the machine. The seal is not on the chamber. I know several people who found success by changing that machine seal, and a few people simply removed the seal and the leak stopped. Strange. ResMed should have left the seal on the c...

Re: My Airsense 10 Autoset leaked water

This is a continual problem if the humidifier is turned on. I have been through 6 resevoirs since 2015 and it could have been 20 since I glue or seal the seam often to try to stop the leakage. Nothing lasts. The supplier has replace the bipap once which was comically stupid. I have worked on electr...

Re: OT: Colonoscopy Prep

Physician, I read that about the phospho soda. Why did you like it? Thanks for asking 49er. Because: 1. Inexpensive 2. One or two tablespoons is such a small amount, the bad taste was not too bad. 3. No cramping. The rushing noises were fun. 4. Didn't require tons of oral liquid consumption (althou...

Re: Side Sleeper needs mask help

Hello, I've been a very faithful user of my cpap for almost 7 years. During that time I wore the Quattro FF FX for 4 years then had another sleep study after a tonsillectomy and switched to the Mirage Quattro for another 3 years. Over the last year and as my weight has gone up about 20 pounds I hav...

Re: Has anyone's bruxism been helped by xPAP?

Before taking a benzodiazepene, please consult YOUR DOCTOR, not an anonymous stranger who calls himself one. ---Especially if central apnea is a significant oart of your apnea. One cannot obtain a benzodiazepine legally without a prescription, and that will constitute a consultation. Several sleep ...
