RESMED Clinician Software

I used to have the RESMED clinician software for Windows that allowed me to read the SD card from my RESMED S9 Elite cpap machine. This was useful to track my usage and apnea events. I now use a Mac and would like to know if this software exists for the Mac. It's been a number of years since I acqui...

Re: Why is it necessary to have a support team?

When I first started my cpap therapy in 2009, I had a lot of questions and concerns. I wasn't getting answers from my DME provider since all they wanted to do was push supplies at me. At the time I didn't have a regular sleep doctor either but relied on Centura's unreachable RTs. I had a few friends...

Re: ResScan Software Download

I'm looking for the latest version of the ResScan software and, if possible, clinical guide. I have a ResMed S9 cpap machine. I'm getting ready to see my sleep doc for Medicare compliance and since I last used my old version my HDD crashed and I ended up with a new laptop and no ResScan software. My...

Re: S9 and 12V power

The S9 power supply provides 24V to the S9, therefore you cannot power the S9 directly with 12V. However, you can use a 300 watt inverter to power the S9 and H5i. Earlier Resmed units required a pure sine wave inverter (expensive), but the S9 will operate with the more common modified sine wave inv...

S9 and 12V power

I plan to take a trip in my travel trailer soon during which I would like to spend a day or two here and there off the grid utilizing the 12V power in my trailer. The problem is my ResMed S9 cpap machine and H5i humidifier. Will I have to use an inverter to run my S9? and what about my humidifier? I...

Re: New Issue Developing with Leak Rate

Just a question - how do you know you're not mouth breathing while asleep? You can't assume a bedmate can adequately judge even tiny amts and a trial of taping and/or going straight to a full face mask would be more effective in checking it out. You're absolutely right and I've thought of that as a...

New Issue Developing with Leak Rate

I started cpap treatment about two months ago and have been going along very well with low AHI (0.0 to 0.3) and a leak rate between 0.0 and 7.0 L/min. Then about 3 or 4 days ago, I noticed my leak rate jumped from 0.0 L/min to 16.0 L/min in one day. Then, it went to 26.0 L/min and the last two night...

Re: Sinus Irritation with Nasal Pillows

Recently I experimented with the humidifier settings and turned down the setting to .5. Woke up with slight burning in the nose. Next night set it at 1.0. Next day same thing. So next night set it at 1.5. Next day I woke up with a runny nose, sneezing, and then got hit with a serious sinus attack an...

Re: A Leakfree Alternative to Taping.........

After reading this thread, I picked up a "boil & bite" mouth guard at Wal-Mart. Before using it my leak rate ran about 6-8 L/min each night. After using the mouth guard now for the past several nights, my leak rate is running 1.5-2.5 L/min (95th percentile) and my AHI is 0-.3 . The little puffs of a...

Re: Water chamber for resmed s9

First thing I did when I got my S9 was to buy one of the cleanable water chambers. It's great. Every couple of days I take it apart and give it a thorough cleaning with my mask and hose. It's very convenient.

Re: How many CPAP users require supplmental O2?

I received my oxygen generator today and tonight will be my first night on it. In my sleep study my O2 sat level averaged 83% and fell to 73% at one point. In a follow up nocturnal pulse oximetry test after being on cpap for about 10 days my average was 86% with a low of 74% and a high of 90%. My PC...

Re: Want to change DME

Mycopsycho, a lot of people (including me) had to change DME companies and/or pay a lot extra to get the machine you got. The software for your machine is easy to get, and won't cost you anything. All you need to do is ask that someone PM you the link so you can download it. Then you will be able t...

Want to change DME

I started my cpap treatment June 9th (2010) and my DME issued me a ResMed S9 and H5i humidifier along with Swift FX mask and sent me on my way. The RRT I dealt with pretty much told me at that point I was on my own and there would be no follow ups, no checking my SD card even though I have medicare ...

Re: how to read the S9 and card?

I'm making progress updating my CPAP to something modern. The doctor prescribed CPAP; the DME asks me what I want; so I'm thinking, S9 Elite , found on the Resmed site. It keeps a record of AHIs and leaks and shows them on the machine, right? What does it take to read the S9 card so I can track dat...
