Re: CPAP makes no difference
When I was new at it, I didn't feel better instantly and I was here posting the same things. I ended up still having issues and night sweats because my pressure wasn't right. The more I read about it the more I thought I needed to switch from a straight CPAP to an Auto CPAP (like the S9) and that ma...

Re: PowerPack for Camping with S9
The reason I was considering using the Duracell Powerpack was that it was only about $170 on Amazon and is 28Ah weighing only 27 lbs. The deep cycle batteries worried me for any back packing trips. I can handle an extra 30 lbs but 60 or 70 and I wouldn't make it too long. Also the powerpack is nice ...

PowerPack for Camping with S9
I've read some past posts on here about the Portable PowerPacks but not all of them talk about the S9 and I wanted to clear up some questions I have. First I'm looking at using either the Xantrex 600HD PowerPack or the Duracell PowerPack 600HD which I've heard are the same thing. From what I can gat...

Re: Recommended Temperature and Humidity for S9 Autoset
Tried the humidity and temperature separate (Manual) last night without much luck. I got a fair amount of rainout with the Temp set at 72, room temp at 68ish, and humidity at 5.0. I'm going to go back to auto at a lower temperature and see how that is as the temp was nice last night but the rainout ...

Re: Recommended Temperature and Humidity for S9 Autoset
When you turn it off during the summer, is your home pretty humid or do you have low humidity from the Air conditioning? I think it would be too dry in my house. What made you try that instead of just setting it to a lower temperature?

Recommended Temperature and Humidity for S9 Autoset
Hello, I haven't posted in a while, but let me first say that I love this board because I can come here and almost always find a solution and feel connected to a community that understands. I chime in occasionally to try and help but not knowing a ton myself I wouldn't want to point anyone in the wr...

Re: What kind of patient needs straight pressure?
I can't imagine there is any reason to have it not on auto. Auto would act just like straight pressure if it needed to. I'm not a doctor but your machine should have a lower bottom pressure on auto and you should slowly creep it up as you look at the data. My machine is set to 7 to 15. This is becau...

Re: Night sweats - part 2
Hopefully I can help, I had this problem a little over a year ago. I had been given a CPAP and was set to a certain pressure and started getting better sleep but never really felt like I would call it "restorative". I had many tests ran from my General Practitioner and also my pulmanologist. They we...

Selling a Used CPAP Machine , Advice
In 2009 I was diagnosed with OSA and given a prescription for a CPAP. I used the machine for ~1 year before having more testing as it wasn't working and being changed to an Autoset. Well it's been a year of it in storage (in case I needed a backup) but I've decided to try and sell it but not sure wh...

First night with S9 autoset and already feeling better
So last night I got to use my new S9 that I convinced the doctor I needed after a second sleep study where the technician said he could never quite find the correct pressure. For the last year I've been set at about 11 and last night with a range from 7-15, I had a median of 12 and 95th% of 14 with ...

Re: F&P Icon vs. S9 Auto
Is the intellipap higher on the list possibly due to the cheaper price? What are the standout features on it? I've heard great things about the S9 but never heard anything about that one. What are ur favorite features?

F&P Icon vs. S9 Auto
Well I recently visited the doctor and he decided to put me on a permanent autopap. My question is which one to get. The Icon Auto comes out in 2 weeks, but is it really worth it or should I get the S9 auto? The Icon looks like the smart card is a usb insert, but will I be able to get the software t...

Re: Oxygen Levels W/O CPAP
I too am having a similar issues resistance. I don't feel refreshed from sleep and its been a year on CPAP, due to a recent sleep study my pressure changed to 14 tonight and I also just got my CMS-50E to start tracking things. With the lack of information available from my machine, I hope to be able...

New Pressure and CMS-50E
Well my doc decided to up my pressure to 14 after my last sleep study. The study was done because I've had little to no improvement from when I began CPAP one year ago. During the study, the tech told me that my pressure would change constantly all night, one minute 11 was good and the next 14 was n...
