Re: How miserable were you before diagnosis?
I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea about 2 years ago. Before that, I would get really, really bad headaches in the middle of the night and early mornings that would last all day no matter what medicine I took. I would also wake up at times feeling SO dizzy I couldn't move. I would literally thr...

Re: Yet another Resmed S9 humidifier question
Another question I have is this. When you initially get the S9, the Climatel Control defaults to "Auto". That is only good if you have a climateline hose right? Why is this set to this setting when a slimline hose comes with it? Shouldn't it be set to "manual" or am I way off here? Can someone pleas...

Yet another Resmed S9 humidifier question
I just bought a brand new, Resmed S9 autoset from a guy. I didn't go through a DME or anything like that. Zero hours on it. I have an Aussie Heated hose I hooked up to it last night. My hose selection was set to "Standard". I turned off the "auto" mode for the humidifier and switched it to "manual" ...

That's what I use as well. My average time is between .6 and 1.5 % time in apnea.ozij wrote:
ResScan statistics has a "time in apnea" measure, reporting the amount of time spent in apnea. I use that as an indicator -- shorter is better.

Re: AHI all over the place lately
As I said before, my leaks are under control. I also have resscan and check my data every day. My leaks are between .00 and .06 usually. My PSG is 10 and I was on that for most of my time on cpap. I just recently got an auto but used to have an Elite II. My AHI's at pressure 10 averaged between 12 a...

AHI all over the place lately
I've been struggling with trying to keep my AHI under 10 ever since I was put on cpap almost 2 years ago. I have an AutoSet II on auto mode. My pressure settings I had set from 10-20. It seems like I go in spurts. I can have ahi's of 8-10 for a few months straight and then all of a sudden they jump ...

Callous on bridge of nose
I used to use a Swift LT and a few months ago had to switch to a nasal mask because of my pressure increase. Anyway, over a period of a couple months I had a callous or scar tissue that built up on the bridge of my nose. After about a month or so, I learned through this forum that mole skin works we...

Re: Determining starting pressure for centrals.
Thanks for all the replies. I have had two titration studies and they both reported my pressure at 10. However, I went to a different sleep doc. and they reviewed my sleep study data and they said that the time I was given in REM was not very long and should have been recorded longer. She thought th...

Determining starting pressure for centrals.
I have an Autoset II currently on auto mode. My titrated pressure was 10 but through lots of rescan research, I found out that that is too low. I went to a second clinic and they also stated that it was too low of pressure. My question is: How do I know if the apnea events I'm seeing are central or ...

Re: AHI with CPAP never < 5
I don't mean to barge in but I am kind of in the same boat. I can't get below and AHI of 10. Usually between 13 and 20. I, too have a autoset II with Resscan 3.10 and noticed that you have snore index, flattening index, and minute ventilation. I can only get AHI, Pressure, Leak, and usage. Is it bec...

Re: Question regarding mask selection on Autoset II
I realize the S7's do but my S8 Autoset II does also. I know it also has mirage full but it also has mirage.
