Re: Reset date/time on S9
Just got back from India. Although Dave, Bill, and Gerry all suggested that we don't mess with the clock, it doesn't work for a 12hr timezone travel. When I went from US to India, the first two nights (which were now a 11am to 6am sleep) got split into two days, which was horrible. So I changed the ...

Re: Reset date/time on S9
I am not sure this would work. Recall that India is 12 hrs from Pacific timezone. So if someone sleeps from 10pm-6am in India, but you kept the S9 in Pacific timezone, then your sleep is from approx 10am-6pm on the S9. Won't the S9 reset the summary data at noon and then mess up the daily averages? ...

Re: ResScan 3.10 & S9 AutoSet summary data - RESOLVED
Wish there were tools to correct the .db files. I had a crash and lost my data (http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=52532&p=485042#p485042) and got a partial recovery as follows: a) created a new patient b) copied the .rlk daily detailed files over to this directory c) copied the summary.dat...

Re: Flonase or Nasonex?
My doctor told me to do a Nasal Rinse before the Flonase. She said 20 mins, maybe you can do Flonase 5 mins later. Maybe this additional rinse will clean up the sinuses before the Flonase does its deed.

Re: Help - Windows 7 & CMS Oximeter Software/Driver
I recently bought the 50E. I only installed the software on my XP laptop, and not on the WIndows 7 laptop. Worked fine. Very trivial piece of software, so should work on Win7.
Their supplied USB cable is needed. A regular USB->miniUSB doesn't work.

Re: UARS, Sleepwalking and CPAP problems
For the allergies, my doctor told me to try the following:
a) Nasal Rinse 2x daily
b) Flonase 20 mins after rinse, 4hrs before sleeping
I have been doing Flonase in the morning, but have religiously done my nasal rinse last 3 weeks, and my nose does feel a lot clearer.

ResScan 3.10 crashed, patient (me) has disappeared
For some reason ResScan 3.10 has crashed a few times on my Dell 820 laptop running XP. I use a Kingston card reader. I haven't been able to root cause the crashes as yet, esp. since the card reader works fine for copying/looking at the data. Today, after the crash/reboot, I started ResScan and found...

Re: Resmed™ S9 Climateline Questions
I didn't wash it for 2 weeks and then washed it in warm water with Dawn kitchen soap. I filled the kitchen sink with warm water and added a few drops of soap, and then washed the humdifier container, the hose, all my FX pillows, my disassembled Activa, etc. Let them dry out all day, but they didn't ...

Re: Pulse Oximeter Suggestions
Couple of questions for the CMS 50E users (I am thinking of getting one since the S9 oximeter kit seems too expensive):
a) How often do you need to recharge the battery?
b) How often do you need to download the data before it gets overwritten?

I was the one who was told try try Large. At my DME, the first MA measured me and told me I was a Medium. Then when I went in again, I met another one who was a real RT, and she told me she always sized folks one up, and that I should try a Large. I tried the Large for 2 nights, and switched back to...

Re: Rescan 3.10
ResScan 3.10 does work with both XP and Win7. I have used both. My Win7 laptop has an internal SD reader, and works fine. I use a Kingston external USB card reader with my XP laptop, and have occasional crashes with ResScan 3.10 (IRQ device driver crashes).

Re: Looking for thoughts on surgery
My apnea is also primarily because of my small lower jaw and large tongue. My sleep doctor has said that I would be a good candidate for surgery, but she recommended I try CPAP first, which is what I am doing. I had a septoplasty and turbinectomy back in 1999, and it did help me for some time, but m...

ResMed's web site has these cleaning instructions: http://www.resmed.com/us/service_and_support/mask-cleaning.html?nc=patients The video shows how they recommend you fit and wash your FX (assuming your nasal pillow is FX), so best to try it out first: http://www.resmed.com/us/products/swift_fx/video...

I think you need to go see your doctor. If your machine is constantly hitting such high pressures without helping your apneas, your doctor needs to know.
