I *think* that you can use regular tubing with the S9 if you are not using the humidifier - that's just from reading the manual though, no one told me that. And there is a setting on the S9 for standard tubing, so that makes sense.

Can anyone tell me if mouth breathing would show up in the Resmed leak rate that I see on the machine? Or is mouth breathing totally separate from the leak rate on the machine? Also try putting your CPAP machine on the floor - that worked for me. I think that the condensation that turns to water flows back into the humidifier and doesn't stay in the hose and make that gurgling noise.
