Nares
mister_hose: As you may have gleaned....around here nares has been used to refer to the opening of the nose vs. the entire length inside. Nares is the opening, whereas nostril includes the opening all the way up to where the two sides join inside your noggin. Nares is nothing more than a shorter way...

Update
Update: I've ordered a ComfortLite 2 so I can start a rotation among two masks. In the meantime, I noticed my sore nares is caused, in part, by a slight cut on the inside edge of my left nostril. I've been putting healing cream on it over the past few days, coupled with vasaline on the nares prior t...

Sore Nares...Looking for Another Mask Option
The topic of a sore nares has been covered extensively here. With that said, I've had a lot of problems eliminating a sore nares, after 3 months using the Mirage Swift large nasal pillows. I've tried various lubricants and I've made the straps as loose as possible (any looser would lead to leaks). I...

Caveat
Yes, with a caveat: My insurance pays for 70% of the cost of a mask every 6 months. I would pay $200+ out of pocket only if I knew for sure it was the perfect mask.

I usually get the "no data" message only for those timeframes I have not yet reached. For instance, my Weekly results did not begin appearing until I hit 7 days. In another example, I got "no data" under Monthly twenty days into my useage. Data began appearing at the one month point. I hope my expla...

MandoJohnny: I don't have any responses to your questions. However, I found this fairly informative link:

It answered some of the questions I had myself about leakage. I hope it helps you, too.

Face (?) Sleeper
I've been reading lots of posts by side and stomach sleepers for this reason: I currently wear the Mirage Swift Nasal Pillow mask. I'm having some problems, however, because I often push my face into my bed pillow (while sleeping and without knowing it) when I roll to my stomach. The frame (gizmo be...

Everest Aura Headrest
For users of the Everest Aura Headrest, to what extent do the hoses--from the tip of your nose to the top of your forehead--actually touch you? Is there a space/gap between the hoses and your skin? I'm asking because I wonder if the hoses rub in any way, or if the elevation is enough to avoid that. ...

A few words on the nostril discomfort: I, too, started a few days ago with the same mask. Before putting the mask on, I coat my nostrils with a petroleum based antibiotic ointment. This seems to me to allow a smoother glide when/if the nasal pillows shift. I add the ointment again in the morning to ...

Greetings...New Member
Hello, all. Let me start by saying, "Wow, what a great site." Everyone here is so informative (not to mention friendly). Now on to a few questions from a 5-day user of a Resmed S8 Eilte... 1. My insurance company replaces my mask every 6 months. What is your experience with insurance companies allow...
