Re: New Machine, no support from anyone
That is a great machine, both for treament, and for "diagnostics" to try to get you set-up right. Once you get going with software, we will need to see data, as well as your previous settings, etc. The great thing about the newer machines is that they can now detect central events more accurately th...

Re: ASV Titration Help Request
Like John and -SWS, I have just read the posts and will need some time to digest! Though I don't think I am qualified to talk about the heart related issues at all. My first response was to suggest that we not get too involved in trying to help you self-titrate. But once you explained your insurance...

http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x256/sleepydave/muffy.jpg [/quote] You know, I really like women, and I concluded long ago that I am not gay. But, right now I think I might have less cognitive dissonance if I **were** gay, and not attracted to this picture ... I forget, is this Muffy or Not Muff...

heck I'll even throw in a few valium for some of you. Oooh,, ooh, me! Me! I'll take it! Do you have any wine or liquor to go with that? What ratio of opiates to valium do you think works best - maybe 1/2 and 1/2? Then just top it off with the wine? I like Van Morrison's rendition of G l O R I A, Gl...

Re: I can't wait to get my ASV!
Congrats fireman! I am **very** happy for you! Do you know which manufacturer the machine will be by? Resmed or Respironics? Do you know your settings? Have you used CPAP (not ASV) before? Some questions you have will be specific to ASV. You won't get as many responses to those, as it is less common...

If we are going to be post-modern, and catch up to cool people, we will need MANY categories. In fact, I think WE NEED A 1-TO-1 RELA...

Re: OT: Quotes
I just came upon this very similar quote from the physicist Richard Feynman a couple of days ago: ************************************************************* A poet once said, "The whole universe is in a glass of wine." We will probably never know in what sense he meant that, for poets do not writ...

Re: OT: Quotes
This is a bit more than a "quote", but it is one of my favorites. I have to admit I was more of a scientist than a poet for a while. Took me a bit to "get" this. ********************************************************************** INTERBEING - by Thich Nhat Hanh from his book, “Peace is Every Step...

No reason you can't use a small piece of Velcro to attach the hose to the strap on the FX, like the LT does. Otherwise there are hose hangers and other modifications you will find here. I just loop the hose over the top part of the bed. But I can only sleep in one position - on my left side. Everyth...

Re: Is Rem sleep important?
Well, without REM sleep you would die .... It is also when you create growth hormone, heal your tissues, and consolidate your memory. What does your data look like? What is your AHI? How long are you sleeping at a time, how much total? You can't tell from your CPAP data whether you are getting REM s...

Re: S9 versus PR System One?
Might depend on who is paying, and how much. The System One is a very nice machine. If I remember correctlly, net cost is about 60% of the System 9. So if you are paying 100% out of pocket .... The System 9 sounds a little better designed in some ways. Have not tried that machine. They are both much...
