Re: Best Auto Cpap with data deal?
Bought my machine from secondwindcpap.com. It was supposed to be slightly used, but once I got it, it seem to be new. I paid for all my CPAP equipment out of pocket and was looking for the best at the lowest cost. Have been happy with the equipment and the service after the sale. Mark, the owner, is...

Re: Newbie leak question
To determine your target for leakage look in your mask booklet. It will have a graph allowing you to determine what the leakage should be for a given pressure. All mask have holes in them to allow you to eliminate the CO2 you are exhaling. Mask manufacturer's include these charts so you can calculat...

Re: Windows Vista Software for CMS 50E Pulse Oximeter (V 1.0)
Thanks for the suggestions. I am using the cable that came with the CMS 50e. RLauren, all those ports are being used, plus the 50E does not come up as a choice. Choices are 60W, 60DW and 60F. Have tried every combination, still does not see my USB connection. Loaded software on old computer with XP ...

Trying to get Vista to recognize my Oximeter via USB. The oximeter want to communicate at USB Com Ports 4,7 or 8. In the Devise Manager says all those ports are "In Use" next one available is 10. Re: New user w/ Mirage Quattro and leak problem.
Have used the Quattro for the last two months, my only mask. Make sure when you think you had a major leak during the night, check your CPAP numbers to verify it. Found when I thought I had major leaks the data did not consider it a major leak. That said you have been given some good advice on weari...

Re: Smartcard reader problem
The software will load on your computer but the drivers are not available if your are using a 64 bit operating system, like Vista or Windows 7. If you go to the Infineer website they have drivers for 64 bit systems BUT I was not able to get it to run. I installed the software on an older XP machine ...

Re: floppy uvula?
Had my uvula removed to stop snoring. The operation is called Laser Assisted Uvulaplasty (LAUP), essentially you sit in a dental like chair. They numb your uvula, using a laser they burn/cut it out. I was told it would reduce the volume to 30% of what it was pre operation. My wife thought it did a g...

Re: WANTED: A FFM that doesn't leave a red stripe
Don't know there is one, maybe a Total Face Mask. JNK gave some good advice. I am have used the Quattro since early February, my first mask as I am new to CPAP. After my sleep test my nose bridge was red with a dent. Knowing I was going to have a problem I searched here. I decided to use a lanolin, ...

Re: HOZER hose Management by Levitation System
THIS A PLUG, TOO! Like Bert I bought and travel with the CozyHose Boss System. I did not like the Hozer because it was too many parts to travel with. With the CozyHose Boss System the hose is suspended over my head I have no hose problems with changing positions. Yes it will fit in your pocket, but...

Re: A newbie with nose bridge issues--already discouraged!
SleepingUgly I had not look at the contents of Lantiseptic. The link you have shows the jar I have. I was more concerned with not developing a sore than I was at the contents damaging the mask. Plus I had not found anything anybody recommended that would work except Lanisoh. I thought Lanisoh was go...

Re: My technique for getting the hose through fleece cover
Whenever I remove my hose, I attach dental floss to the hose end first. Pull the hose and floss until the hose is out of the cover, remove the floss from the hose and you have a way of pulling the hose through the cover when you want to put it back. To put the hose back in the hose cover, I cover th...

Re: make your own CPAP mask cleaner?
I am like SleepingUgly, they are very large and I don't use the mask wipe once. Once I use the wipe I put it in a zip sandwich bag, keeps them wet several days until I decide to discord it. Those that are drying up, I tie it in the middle, to the end of a 9 foot piece of dental floss (Glide) and pul...
