Re: Bagpipe KIller Fungus

Gasper62 is obviously a smart, level-headed, common sense thinker! As someone who once had some kind of rather slimy fungus growing in my little humidifier tank, I know that things can happen. No one would accuse me of being anally retentive in the cpap cleaning department, but, I know a periodic cl...

Bagpipe KIller Fungus

I'll just say, I got up and cleaned my cpap humidifier and tubing and such after I read this.

Re: Mirage Activa LT nasal mask, need help

Well, this is all kind of funny and ironic to me. Well and nice too. About 11 years ago, actually about a year after I first started on Cpap, we had just come home from a vacation in Colorado and while we were out there I had remarked a few times that I wanted to get a little dog. We also live in th...

Re: Mirage Activa LT nasal mask, need help

Thank you so much Pugsy, I will do exactly all of the above. I appreciate your advice. I strongly suspected that they were lying to me. The only person that I don't think was lying was the RT who took me in the back room with the cpap stock. No one has ever let me back there since I have been doing ...

Mirage Activa LT nasal mask, need help

I have been using the above for more than a year now. Prior to that I was using the comfort gel, but, I realized it required too much tightness to maintain seal, prior to that it was just the plain activa. Anyway, I was getting along fine with the LT, was ordering another cushion a couple of months ...

Re: slee ping with peripheral neuropathy

I've had peripheral neuropathy for years, slowly got worse, began to bother me a lot at bedtime. Began 900 mg of gabapentin daily. Sleep much better, symptoms less bothersome. It seems to help me. No bad side effects. Well, I think I talk more!

Re: Will your anesthesiologist leave the OR? Patients deserve to

In many parts of the country, I guess Rural, You would need to get off the table and drive about 300 miles to find anesthesiologist. The hospital I worked in and have had surgery in only has anesthetists, period.

Re: Sleep Apnea-Irregular Heartbeat/BP corelation

My experience with all the above leads me to agreement with the belief that cpap is of great benefit. I have been on cpap for 11 years now and I am sure I would be dead if I hadn't used cpap.

Killing it, just killing it!

That is what my sleep dr. said to me regarding my sleep apnea. He was very pleased. I get along great with my cpap. My ahi has been 0.3 to 0.5. I mostly just posted this to see if my new avatar showed up with my now deceased best friend.

Re: Benefit of an electrical adjustable bed

The trouble we had with just using something to put under the head bed posts is that it puts the whole bed on a slope and eventually during the night as time goes by we find ourselves with our feet sticking off the bed. With the electric adjustable bed we raise the foot of bed a bit and that way we ...

Benefit of an electrical adjustable bed

This may have been discussed previously, but, I think my experience with this bed may be beneficial to someone. My wife and I have slept for years with a brick under the legs at the head of our bed. My wife has had acid reflux since having her gall bladder removed. I know for a fact I can breath eas...

Took me a good long time to adapt, but, now I would not dare go to sleep in bed without. Naps in my recliner are a different story.
