Re: Going to FF Mask as primary

Sincw beginning cpap therapy three years ago and using Nasal pillows as primary I am now finally going to use the Mirage Liberty FF Mask as primary mask as I am tired of fighting the chin straps and mouth breathing along with the dry mouth syndrome. I thought I might train myself to not mouth breat...

Great post, thanks for the information. I wish I could rent an S9 for a few weeks rather than drop the $1K OOP on it.

Re: quattro switch to hybrid?

I too have had leak issues with the Quattro , unless strapped down extremely tight. Unfortuneately I tried the Hybrid and had too many issues with the pillows, no matter how they were arranged they moved out of my nostrils during the least bit of movement. I'm sure it fine for some but not me. For ...

Re: From Another Thread - A Personal Note

Thank you, bob3000, for your sensitivity. You couldn't recognize a serious, heartfelt post? You couldn't see the pain the poster was in when it was written? You just had to mock it, huh? Thank you so fucking much. Just trying to lighten the mood. Give me a break, I haven't slept in over 24 hours an...

Re: From Another Thread - A Personal Note

EDIT: When I made this attempt at a humorous post, I had only read the first few sentences of the Madalot's thread and thought this was just another silly internet drama thread about who is mad at who, and who is leaving the forums and why and can we investigate, etc. My apologies, this was a seriou...

Re: CPAP to Autoset

Link, you have an exceptional ability to breathe out against stratospheric pressure - others have an exceptional inablility to breathe out agains far lower pressures. In healthy human beings with healthy lungs, exhalation is not a result of muscular, effort, it's a result of result of relaxing the ...

Re: New Mattress is No Good, Time for Memory Foam?

Overstock.com has some affordable toppers. I got one made by Serta for a little over $100. 4 inch and 4 lb. My husband was around your size till recently. I have some back issues and the topper did help for maybe a year and a half then it seem that to be not so supportive. I am not heavy. I will te...

Re: New ResMed Machines - Are they here yet?

In my case, I had an M-Series pro with a cosiderably different algorithm than the S9. My AHI dropped dramatically. I could feel the difference. The S8 is a laudable machine even today. You keep using that S8 - nobody will stop you. Hey, I thought you were leaving this forum. What happened? Hi Dream...

New Mattress is No Good, Time for Memory Foam?

My sleep apnea is very much positional so supine/back sleeping, by far the most comfortable position for me, is not an option. Instead, I side sleep and have even gone so far as to rig a belt, tennis-balls and an old sock into a device to force me to stay on my side (thanks cpaptalk.com for that one...

Re: How often do you replace your mask pillows?

If money were no object, I would replace my Hybrid's nasal pillows and cushion at least once every two months. As it is, I keep it for around 4 months.
