Re: system one
Such a cheap thing for Respironics to omit. And what a total PIA every single night. Its true, even using a flashlight it is nearly impossible to read. I've knocked off everything on my nightstand more than a few times trying to get a read on that brick. And then I'm wide awake from all the activity...

Re: No results after 137 nights, should I keep going?
I'll chime in with a third recommendation to get your hormone levels checked. Your remedy may be as simple as taking a little hormone troche once per day. Keep getting the levels monitored and its usually easy to get (and keep) the levels at where they should be. The hard part for me was finding a d...

Re: Terrible memory problems, can't concentrate
Your hormonal problems could be the direct cause of your memory and mental acuity issues, as much or even more so than apnea. You can take your own hormone saliva test by ordering from a lab direct (zrtlabs.com for one). There are many books that can guide you to getting your hormones under control ...

Re: Nasal Pillows and Sore Front Teeth?
My teeth move if I wear nasal masks or regular FFMs. It could be some of the things the other folks have mentioned, so definitely troubleshoot, but for me its simply that my teeth move very easily. I can wear the Dream Weaver nasal mask for a while, but then it happens with that one, too. I had high...

I do it, too. I thought maybe its a stress reaction, like folks do this instead of biting their nails, or clenching their jaw, or something.

Re: Insomnia: Melatonin + 5-HTP + Tryptophan
I would only take one of these 3 at a time or per day and never combine them. L-Tryptophan is seemingly the preferable supplement as with it the body regulates the amount of serotonin it produces whereas 5-HTP skips this important regulation step so the body has little, if any, control over the amo...

Re: Those who have overcome aerophagia...how did you do it?
I only ever had severe aerophagia when using ResMed machines. When I switched back to Respironics, I was fine. I have experimented with this a few times the past year. I'd get the S9 out and think: it can't be the machine, it was probably some other factor, just try it again. The curiosity gets the ...

Re: I don't TRUST my PRS1's LCD: Am I missing something?
When I wanted my data daily, I would remove the card every day and download the data in into the software. The daily wave report (someone correct on the report's name) is a great report and only available if you do the datacard download daily. You also have to make a special effort to save this repo...

Re: It IS possible to find the perfect mask
I also love the FP 431. I wore it for at least half a year, and will no doubt go back to it once in a while, or perhaps for a long spell again. Its the only other mask I can stand to wear. I think it is a totally unique mask. I hope they don't change it or stop making it. I absolutely love its under...

Re: unable to use cpap
Seems like you are assuming that cpap automatically equals air in stomach. I did have this problem when I used ResMed machines, but I never have it when I use Respironics machines. I would think there may be other things to try (aside from a different machine!!) to stop the aerophagia. Ideas anybody...

Re: Can FF mask use affect your sense of smell?
Oh my. I don't use anything daily, but usually use Astelin if needed. Last week I used Nasonex twice instead. Each time, the next day, I had the most bizarre smelling situations. I smelled something so bad it literally gagged me, I almost tossed my cookies. Nobody else could smell what I was smellin...
